Trump is early post crisis Lex Luthor. We need a pre Two Face Harvey Dent style prosecutor who values justice to put him away.
Alvin Bragg & Merrick Garland are either too soft, or too compromised.

I think it is more like they know how hard a case it will be to try. They are waiting for absolute rock solid evidence. I mean look at the impeachment trials. Especially the second it was crystal clear he should be impeached and removed. Its almost like you would have to have 10 witnesses and video evidence of the crimes to be willing to try it.
Let's also be honest about something.
Losing in 2020 was the best thing to happen to Trump and the GOP.
It let go nuts on the stolen election BS and pass all kinds of voter restriction laws that they have been wanting for a lot of time.
All the things that most likely would have happened any way such has supply chain issues, inflation, Russia invasion, Covid Variants Biden got the blame for all of it. And to top it off The GOP had the numbers to block Biden's agenda with the help of two of his own party so the Dems look very weak.
Then to scare the white power crowd Biden did the unthinkable He put a black female on the SC! If you dont think the racist GOP is not going to play into that you are wrong.
The Afgan withdraw will also be something the GOP hammer home.
Now in the midterms the GOP can run and thanks to the laws and disinformation it looks like they will do well.
And then in 2024 Trump can ride in like a fat orange knight and run on the Only I can save the country.
Losing set up the GOP and Trump to come back stronger in the future.

This Post Contains No Artificial Intelligence. It Contains No Human Intelligence Either.
Agreed. One can only hear the phrase "the walls are closing in on him" so many times before they grow tired of it, and we've been hearing it since the 2016 campaign. No one is buying into hype, they are simply being realistic as painful as it is.
The Dems need some major wins to prevent Trump's base from growing, and that's shown to be a very difficult task.
AOC got called out for speaking her mind last week and pointing out what she sees as weaknesses in the administration.
‘Collapse of support’: AOC warns Biden’s poll numbers could signal poor turnout among Dems
https://news.yahoo.com/collapse-supp...153902523.html
She got called out for speaking the truth because some were too sensitive to hear it. But she's right and the approval numbers show it. Maybe people's expectations are too high but "lower your expectations" is probably not a good slogan for a campaign to run on, and "anyone but Trump" isn't going to work in 2024.Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez believes Joe Biden is at risk of losing Democratic voters who worked “over time to get him elected” should the US president fail to deliver on key progressive policies, she said during an interview with NY1 Thursday night.
“This is really about the collapse of support among young people, among the Democratic base,” the second-term New York congresswoman told Errol Louis on the NY1 political program Inside City Hall. “They aren’t necessarily being seen.”
Ms Ocasio-Cortez’s response came from a question on Mr Biden’s falling approval numbers, and whether the administration might, or even should, be open to greenlighting some of those more progessive policies, including the cancellation of student debt.
“It is Biden’s power and responsibility to cancel student debt, nobody else’s,” an enthusiastic Ms Ocasio-Cortez replied.

Krakoa, Arakko, and Otherworld forever!
Listening to Glenn Kirshner has given me a bit more hope that the DOJ is pursuing justice.
Folks have said that Biden put a "Resounding..." win together last time out.
Now that he will essentially be caught in a mosh similar to the one that Trump was caught in last time out?
We can put that "Resounding..." assertion to the test.
While I would like to think that he will do a better job at that then Trump did when his foot was hung in a figurative bear trap? I'm not going to get my hopes up.
As for that?
Its not even a matter of being able to slow the growth of Trump's base.
You need to, at the bare minimum, be able to hold Biden's base from last time out together to even have a realistic shot should it wind up being those two in a General Election.
Being able to do that needs to be the priority.
If Biden (or some other Democrat) wins re-election against Trump (or some other Trumpist) in a GOP-controlled State, will the Governor / Secretary of State / legislature refuse to certify a Biden victory in that State and substitute a GOP slate of electors instead? That is certainly what the Republicans were trying to make happen in the run-up to January 6, and now do they have the means in place actually to do it this time?
Schumer says it's not a big deal.

Here's a tweet from Abigail Shirer. Definitely seems like someone very interested in the well being of trans kids.

Nope. She's just another right-wing blow hard who wants to erase trans people from visible presence in people's lives. That's what the push back against 'gender ideology' is all about, after all.
You have probably seen the case, there has been a fair few articles about Emily Bridges in UK papers and web sites in recent days.
In a nutshell Emily was competing in mens cycling events and doing well, is in fairly early stages of physical transition and was due to compete in an elite womens event soon (today I think, but not followed case closely). The event was really elite…cyclists like Laura Kenny are in the field…UK’s most successful cyclist.
Just before this happened, cycling authorities (international, rather than UK ones) prevented Emily competing.
The only report I have read was in the Times about 2 or 3 days ago. The report itself was completely factual (I think) but it was noticeable that nearly all the people whose opinion were quoted in surrounding pages were against Emily’s participation.
If Emily had competed and won…think there would have been a “big” reaction.
I am not sure about the specific details of this one but I had heard about the refusal. She can't compete in both. That said, her performance will drop bunches the further she gets from her pre transition starting point.
I will also say the British press has a REALLY terrible record on trans rights.

Here's a good example of something that they *could* have reported, if they'd bothered to consult experts.

And that's just one year. The average cis woman in endurance cycling is 10% slower than the average cis man. Trans cyclist Emily Bridges - who the right-wing media has dubbed "the next Lia Thomas" - participated in a study showing that her power output dropped 13-16% over one year of testosterone suppress
