Marjorie Taylor Green just announced a bill to make gender affirming care for trans teens a class C felony NATIONALLY.

Tucker Carlson says he will pressure every Republican to join.

It has no chance of passing the next 2 years, but this is their plan if they win in 2024.
Transphobia is the wedge they want to use to drive the rest of their agenda. This is why we can not give transphobia an inch.

What a difference a few weeks can make. Inspired by the FBI’s violation of Donald Trump’s safe space, the loudest MAGA warriors have gone very public with something that looks for all the world like a sudden, keen interest in criminal justice reform. “DEFUND THE FBI” Marjorie Taylor Greene squawked shortly after agents raided Mar-a-Lago in search of classified documents. It was a sentiment echoed by other newly-minted SJWs such as Candace Owens, Paul Gosar, and Dinesh D’Souza. Trump himself complained about the agency profusely, harkening back to the days of J. Edgar Hoover before making an abrupt right turn into his own list of personal grievances. Aren’t these the same people who demanded we Back the Blue?

The answer, of course, is yes, but don’t confuse “The Blue” with the FBI or the Department of Justice: conservatives certainly don’t. While cops have attained a crucial place as heroes in the conservative imagination, FBI leadership has, over the last few years, become the villains.

This sentiment predates the raid on Mar-a-Lago last week, though the raid definitely made the right-wing fury more acute. Just days before agents arrived at the former president’s resort, the ire toward the agency was on full display at CPAC Dallas, which I attended. Speaker after speaker cast the FBI as one of the primary forces standing in the way of patriots and the success of the conservative agenda. “The Department of Justice needs to be gutted, the FBI needs to be gutted, and senior officials need to be replaced,” Fox News contributor Sara Carter stated on the opening day, a proclamation greeted with enthusiastic applause.
Back law enforcement, but only so long as it is servile to conservative political interests.

In 2014, 2015, as well as 2016, “Fanatical Republican Extremist of the Day” published profiles of the former U.S. House Representative from Texas’ 19th Congressional District, Randy Neugebauer, who became infamous during the 2013 Government Shutdown when he tried to shame a park ranger working on furlough at the World War II Memorial for the park being closed… when he was the one who shut down the government. Rep. Neugebauer also was the Congressman who once screamed out “BABY KILLER!” on the House floor at Rep. Bart Stupak of Michigan for having voted for the Affordable Care Act, claimed migrant children being held in detention facilities prior to being deported back to their families are being spoiled and treated in a “lovely way”, and voted against Hurricane Sandy Relief money while admitting that if a natural disaster happened in his district, he’d snatch up that aid money in a heartbeat. Randy Neugebauer continued to be a portrait of unbalanced partisan ideology, including how he hamstrung an education bill moving through the House in February 2015 by inserting an amendment into the bill that withheld federal funding from school districts that contract with health centers unless the center certifies that it will not provide abortions or give students any information about abortion, including directions to the nearest abortion provider. He also was busy voting for any and all anti-abortion measures and voting to deny funding to the Department of Homeland Security out of protest for President Obama's executive orders on immigration. Worst of all, when Neugebauer pops off at say, a park ranger or Bart Stupak in a burst of impotent rage, when he's asked to accept responsibility for his outbursts, he often tries lying and claiming "it wasn't me" that did it, like a craven little weasel. We'll give you one guess about how Randy Neugebauer reacted to the fake "sting" videos created by the Center for Medical Progresss, though... he was rabid in buying into the fraud for political gain. The good news is Randy Neugeabuer retired in 2016, and presumably he will use all of his free time to accuse random people of infanticide and then retreat before they can ask him what his problem is, like the twitchy twit he's always been.

It was on this date in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, as well as 2021, that “Fanatical Republican Extremist of the Day” shared its first profile about the sitting U.S. House Representative from Texas’ 19th Congressional District, Jodey Arrington, the man who just took the place of FRED alumni Randy Neugebauer for his seat in Congress. Nine Republicans were in the GOP primary to replace Neugebauer, and Arrington emerged based on the political capitol he build up working first for George W. Bush as an aide while he was still Governor of Texas and in the Bush White House, and helping him fill up executive appointed posts during his administration. That included the choice of hiring a man named Michael Brown as head of FEMA, whose only experience was breeding horses. Remarkably, this led to Arrington being thrown into the fire to clean up the Gulf Coast after Brown had to resign in disgrace, where Arrington served as deputy federal coordinator for the Office of the Federal Coordinator for Gulf Coast Rebuilding. Now, in an election year where it benefitted more candidates to be the political outsider on the conservative side, it might seem odd that Arrington still managed to narrowly win his primary on a run-off. Well, in spite of maintaining his strong Bush Administration credentials, he also won a Breitbart endorsement by doing, what else? Taking a trip down to the U.S./Mexico border and talking tough about illegal immigrants. As it turns out, the now Rep. Arrington’s disdain for Mexicans was not something he just did in campaign mode, as he has gone on record as a supporter of Donald Trump’s stupid-@ss border wall. But his support of xenophobia is not limited only to Mexicans, though, because Arrington also came out in defense of Trump’s bigoted Muslim ban when it was announced. Hell, Arrington’s drinking Trump’s Kool-Aid so much it looks like he’s visiting Jonestown, as he gave Trump’s First 100 Days in office an “A”.

But what Jodey Arrington did that is completely new for him (but sadly not for Republicans), happened back in late March 2017. Arrington, in a hearing on SNAP benefits, quoted the Bible’s 2 Thesslalonians 3:10, “If a man will not work, he shall not eat. Now, there are wiser and more well-versed Biblical experts will point out that Jesus was pretty much the guy who was ALL ABOUT FEEDING THE HUNGRY, Jodey Arrington is the latest Republican to use this verse out of context to take away food stamp benefits that, guess what? All too often go towards feeding CHILDREN. See also former FRED profiles on Kevin Cramer and Stephen Fincher for others who tried twisting scripture out of context to turn it into something resembling a religion Ayn Rand would have possibly been into.

Even Arrington’s constituents are starting to question his level of extremism, including local firefighters in his district expressing disbelief that he would vote against the bill to provide medical care to the 9/11 First Responders. Jodey Arrington, ever the douche-canoe, started lying out of his arse and claiming that his vote was justified because of “questionable” claims that seemed to indicate there was “waste and fraud”.

For those in the back not listening, he all but accused some the 9/11 First Responders of “faking it” for more money. There is not a big enough foreign object we can recommend he goes and f***s himself with for that.

Jodey Arrington was one of the loudest members of the Texas delegation giving the worst advice in 2020, Covid-19 pandemic. Like how he boasted about how he fully expected “Texas to lead in the nation’s recovery. (SPOILER ALERT: Texas became one of the top three Covid-19 hotspots after carelessly reopening businesses) Maybe that’s why we’re also concerned that Arrington wanted to send kids back to school in August of 2020 to allow parents to “return to work”. Y'know, before there were vaccines available.

Now, what do you think Arrington is doing right now as Texas Republicans’ anti-mask/keep-everything-open/question vaccines strategy approach to Covid-19 made them one of the hottest hot spots for the virus in the country? Well, this white nationalist motherf***er is trying to blame it on illegal immigrants coming into the United States, even though Mexico’s vaccination rate is higher than Texas’, as are their Covid positivity rates right now.

This dips*** would put his hand on a hot stove, get burned, put it back on the stove, and then claim Mexicans seared him with a branding iron. He can f*** right off.

Back the blue? Like conservatives “backed” the Capitol Building cops in the aftermath of 1/6? By the by, if it wasn’t for the literal last minute announcement from James Comey about the FBI investigating Hillary Clinton six years ago, Trump might not have won the election. The hypocrisy from right wingers is staggering.

That falls under the "only so long as law enforcement is servile to conservative political interests" part.

Now in his second term in office, Jodey Arrington’s streak of partisanship continues:

Headed into the November mid-term elections, Jodey Arrington has a +26 lean to his district, and both of his opponents in the general election have no party affiliation. Whether or not someone could overcome that partisan lean… it would be stunning to pull it off.

Then again, maybe Jodey Arrington coming out and declaring Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate being raided by the FBI to recover classified documents he stole and kept refusing to return as the result of “political corruption” on the FBI and DOJ.

Yeah, Jodey Arrington is a “Ride or Die” Trump Republican, make no mistake.

Given how garbage Twitter is about actually getting rid of that sort of thing, I'm surprised they actually suspended him.

Ideally that lunatic would be removed from the ballot and not allowed to run for office as well

Were it a heavily Republican district, he would likely be a shoe-in. Luckily it is the opposite. Not uncommon for Democrats in Florida's 20th to beat their Republican competitors by 60 points or more.

So it sounds like the Florida 20th is the "packing" part of the "packing and cracking" gerrymandering strategy.

You may be thinking of the US House.

The state house district seems pretty conservative, as the only other candidate running is the incumbent Republican state representative. I'm sure the incumbent is favored to win.

Herschel seems confused here. He either thinks that Senators vote to confirm state court trial judges, or he thinks “cashless bail” is somehow now an issue in federal court: Warnock “believe in voting for these judges that believe in these no cash bails.”
