Democrats will tell you they are pro-democracy as they sue to kick 3rd parties off ballots and rig their primaries. They will tell you they are anti-war as they fund wars and arm fascists. They will tell you they are your ally as they insert the knife in your back.

There’s no such thing as “voting blue to save democracy” because we don’t live in a democracy & we never have. We live in an oligarchy where both parties serve the rich & use our government to wage endless wars abroad. A vote for either party is a vote to preserve the oligarchy.

The best way to avoid this “nuclear Armageddon” that Joe Biden is warning about is to stop pumping billions of dollars of weapons into a war zone and start advocating for PEACE TALKS between Russia and Ukraine.

President Biden & the Democrats are opposed to having direct negotiations with Russia to end the war in Ukraine because they’re beholden to the military industrial complex & care more about selling weapons than averting nuclear war. There are no winners in nuclear war. GIVE PEACE A CHANCE.
Instead of trying to peel away Democratic voters with this nonsense you should be urging moderate Republicans to expel the radical elements from their party. With the the GOP no longer a threat to democracy, left-leaning Democrats would be free to vote for more progressive candidates.

Man you are so right about Kanye , yes I'll call him Kanye .
He will walk it back with some lame excuse eventually .
His fans will support him and some companies will cater to him .
Because in America everyone likes to give someone a 2nd chance . In Kanye's life it's probably over 1,000 2nd chances though.

Oh this guy. I was hoping to never have to think about this guy again. Always seems to think third party is the way to go but never does much to help boost third parties. He just complains and complains about Democrats and while there's certainly plenty to critique, he rarely ever has a bad word to say about Republicans and rather burn the country down for his own political "purity".

Like Dore, Brie, and that Twitter user with the Disney squirrel avatar, its best to ignore these people.

This is one of the least informed things I have ever heard. The reason Biden and the Democrats are mostly opposed to peace talks with Russia is they are both listening to the Ukrainians and fully aware that a so called peace treaty with Putin isn't worth the paper it is printed on. There was an agreement for Russia to respect the borders of Ukraine before 2014, it wasn't followed. Letting Russia keep ahold of ANY Ukrainian territory would buy a short term peace at best, but would guarantee another conflict later, perhaps when Putin decides that the rest of Ukraine needs to become Russian again despite the desires of the people who live there, or perhaps he might want the Baltic states next time. Or China might decide to use nuclear threats for it's territorial desires after seeing that rattling the saber makes everyone back down. Or maybe North Korea might decide to push the border a little bit and shout that fighting back means nuclear war. Ryan Knight's suggestion is called appeasement, and it is a deadly thing. He might want to look at some 1930s history if he has forgotten what most people learn in middle school - that appeasement only leads to more war.

There are no "Democrats Who Are Open To Being Peeled Away..." or "Moderate Republicans Who Can Be Urged..." looking at this thread.

If they signed off on suing him it was inevitable. Billionaires hate being told what to do and typically insist on the last word.

What's going to be messed up is the number of grifters who are going to pretend that this is some great victory for "free speech" instead of the smoke and mirrors game that it is.

I think he wants to but won't do so immediately. It'd cause full scale advertiser and user flight. What we know from every attempt to create a right-wing, 'free speech' version of twitter is that right-wingers have zero interest in actually talking to each other. They need libs to hate on and own.

Elon's recent missive to advertisers is basically 'don't believe all that! Please stay on the platform guys!'. With as much debt was required to finance the deal, not to mention EU laws on content that he has to abide by, his hands are a little more tied on the matter than you might think.

    Exactly.

If Twitter turns into a right-wing cesspool, it kill the business.

Musk has already been reaching out to advertisers to allay their fears.

The whole business was a comedy of errors. Musk wasn’t serious about buying Twitter, but Twitter was serious about selling and took his ass to court to force the sale, and the rest was history.

No guarantee either will happen. Advertisers are already vowing to bolt if Trump returns, and Kanye is radioactive after his anti-Semitic comments. Musk will lose revenue with the former and users with the latter (more than likely both), on top of that, if Trump is reinstated and inevitably incites violence, lawsuits will bring more trouble. Musk can’t afford that sort of headache.

The underrated problem with free speech is that Musk is more likely to support Chinese censors. He's been friendly to them in the past.

Host Larry Kudlow told Pence that “far-left progressives… will not allow God into the conversation, will not allow religion into the conversation. Not just the conversation, the schools, the communities, the workplace… I mean, no one is allowed to talk about the Ten Commandments or the importance of moral values.”

People are allowed to talk about the Ten Commandments and morality in the U.S.

“How can we have a truly great nation? These lefties want to scrap religion, Mike Pence, and I think it’s a terrible mistake,” Kudlow said.

Pence waited a bit – possibly to see if Kudlow was actually going to ask a question – and responded: “Well, the radical left believes that the freedom of religion is the freedom from religion. But it’s nothing the American founders ever thought of or generations of Americans fought to defend.”

“The good news is that after four years of the Trump-Pence administration, I’m confident that we have a pro-religious freedom majority on the Supreme Court of the United States,” he continued.
