• February 26th, 2020: Massie is one of only four members of Congress who are racist enough to vote against an anti-lynching bill.
• March 27th, 2020: Rep. Massie opposes the idea of a voice vote and forces the entire House to return to Washington D.C. in person during the earliest stages of a pandemic.
• April 23rd, 2020: Thomas Massie is one of 4 Republicans who vote against the Coronavirus stimulus bill in the House.
• May 27th, 2020: Rep. Massie is the lone vote against the Uyghur Human Rights Policy Act.

• July 4th, 2021: Thomas Massie posts on Twitter about his belief that the Founding Fathers would have been opposed to mask and vaccine mandates, ignoring actual history, and that George Washington mandated the smallpox vaccine to troops at Valley Forge.

Massie is one of 16 Republicans who vote against HR 3895, the Allies Act, which was passed without his support to raise the amount of visas offered and to expedite their issue to Afghan translators and their families to honor our promise to protect them against the Taliban after U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.
• August 25th, 2021: Massie posts, then deletes a post on Twitter where he compares vaccine mandates to the Holocaust by showing the arm of a concentration camp victim while complaining about them.

• March 31st, 2022: Massie votes against HR 6833, the Affordable Insulin Now Act, which would limit the cost that drug companies could list insulin at to $35 and make sure no diabetic was priced out of surviving their condition. Thomas Massie would rather they be gouged by pharmaceutical giants and/or die.
• May 18th, 2022: Rep. Massie votes against HR 7791, to amend the Child Nutrition Act of 1966 so that waiver authority could be granted to solve supply chain crisises for shortages of baby formula.
• May 18th, 2022: Rep. Massie votes against HR 350, the Domestic Violence Prevention Act, because these days, a plank of the Republican Party is ostensibly domestic terror.
• May 19th, 2022: Massie votes against HR 7688, a bill which would help prevent gas companies from gouging customers on prices.
• July 15th, 2022: Thomas Massie votes against House Amendment 262, which would require the FBI, Department of Homeland Security, and Secretary of Defense to publish a report on the infiltration of American law enforcement by Neo-Nazis and white supremacists, offer measures to be taken to remove them from their ranks, and prevent further infiltration by others.
• July 13th, 2022: Massie votes against the Honoring Our PACT Act, to provide healthcare to veterans affected by toxic burn pits.
• July 19th, 2022: Rep. Massie is one of 157 Republicans who vote against the “Respect for Marriage Act”.
• July 21st, 2022: Massie is one of 195 Republicans who vote against the Right to Contraception Act.
• September 29th, 2022: Thomas Massie is one of 49 Republicans who vote against HR 8888, the Food Security for All Veterans Act.
• December 1st, 2022: Rep. Massie is one of 90 Republicans who vote against HR 6878, meaning he is perfectly fine with pregnant women in prison being placed in solitary confinement while claiming to be “pro-life”.
• December 6th, 2022: Massie, embracing the GOP’s white nationalist, anti-immigrant sentiment votes against HR 7946, which was meant to honor the promise to grant citizenship to immigrants who served in the United States Armed Forces.

On top of all the above moments, we’re going to link to an investigation that has shown how many other times there were resolutions in Congress to criticize or punish Russia for executing its political enemies, or its annexation of Crimea, and how the only people who voted against the bills were Thomas Massie and “Putin’s favorite Congressman” of the time, Dana Rohrabacher. By default, Massie is now Putin’s favorite. And considering he was wining and dining Maria Butina prior to her arrest, and also had dinner with Alexander Torshin, maybe that should be a major concern.

But Kentucky’s 4th sent Massie forward from the 2022 GOP Primary with 75% of the vote, and on Election Day of that year, re-elected Thomas Massie with 65% of the vote. Maybe they aren’t aware of everything we just listed, or they just like seeing someone in DC who pisses off the rest of Congress out of spite to the overall political process. Or days after a mass shooting carried out by an angry teenager whose parents seemed to enable him by putting guns in his hand as their only approval or attention to their kid… posts gleeful photos of himself and his whole family for the holidays armed to the teeth like they’re celebrating gun deaths. Y’know, showing they’re blue collar gun lovers by wielding an arsenal worth more than most American families make in a year.

Or maybe so Massie can keep quoting Neo-Nazis.

The fact is that the Right is made that Whelan got "left behind." In their words while a gay female woman of color is coming home that they are doing everything they can to find fault in the deal.

Ive heard everything from "He gave up a war criminal for a basketball player." "She broke the law and Whelan didnt do anything." To "Trump would have brought him home." Then when asked why Trump didnt bring him home when he had they chance they do what Spidey is doing and accuse the person of deflection.

The fact is an American is coming home and that is what we should be happy about.

And I am pretty sure they are still talking to bring Whelan home. But releasing a basketball player vs a former military man isnt as big of a deal for putin.

You know, this ties into an idle thought I had a few days ago: I think that at least some of the push back to Trans Women in sports is that many guys watch women's sports to ogle athletic bodies and they don't want to have to worry if they are lusting after someone who was born male. I think that is more prevalent among guys who think of themselves as Alpha Males.
