Interesting. Do you have stats that show e.g. that while the number of guns has been stable, the number of shootings/ mass shootings has gone up over the decades?
I would like to see if there's data on that. But - regardless - guns are an enabler and that's a fact. If this Nashville shooter didn't have access to guns, this wouldn't have happened. Everyone has access to knives, for example, but the amount of damage you can do with a knife is far lower.

Worrying, if somewhat fascinating development in the German town of Dortmund, which has long had a problem with Neo-Nazis, and nearby ******: A new violent gang consists of both Nazis and Muslim immigrants. They supposedly spray SS-Runes as well as yelling »Allahu akbar«. They share a hatred of "the Left" and queer people, accusing both groups of pedophilia and "grooming." They also share an authoritarian world view, toxic masulinity and glorification of violence.
Dortmund und ******: Nazis und migrantische Jugendliche vereint
Edit: Replace the asterisks with B-O-C-H-U-M, a town so ugly the board censors its name.
There is a Little Richard documentary coming out in April. Richard was really a key figure in rock n Roll and inspired a number of artists. Paul Mccartney and others will be in it discussing his musical inspiration.
But there is one aspect I never realized and I think the documentary is going to look at. How Little Richard was bisexual and he struggled with his feelings and relationships with men.
A fact he kept up til a few years before he died going back and forth. One moment he seemed ok with being bisexual and was open about it. Then he'd be against homosexuality and transsexuals from what I read.
He seemed to wage a war within himself. But yeah...guy was great on stage. Hopefully he found peace within himself now.

The Orlando shooting may have been more about the shooter's hatred for American culture and support for ISIL. The first target was Disney, but security was too tight.

He also considered targeting another nightclub, but it also had better security.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter us she were trans or not. 6 people lost there lives over nothing. And I find a hard time making excuses fircaby one that shot 3 children in cold blood.
But the sheer amount if trans hate that has been going will surely go up because if this. It is akreast happening on fix news.
They are saying the shooting is everything from magazines with gay people being removed from the school, not teaching gender care, the teachers not using her pronouns, hatred for Christians
Everything. And now it is all trans people getting the blame. There was even a guest talking about
Is it safe for trans to have guns? Now all of the sudden the pro gun party is talking about taking guns away from people.

DeSantis 'parental rights' push leads to pulled civil rights film, ousted principal
Malicious Compliance at work everyone! Michelangelo's David is Pornographic again, boy have times changed since they had angry mobs smashing the genitals off statues. The Tampa Bay Times reported Monday that Pinellas County had pulled "Ruby Bridges," a film about a 6-year-old who integrated New Orleans public schools in the 1960s, after a complaint from the mother of a second grader. The 1998 Disney film, which had been a part of the Black History Month curriculum, is now being reviewed after the parent, Emily Conklin, said it “might result in students learning that white people hate Black people,” citing the use of racial slurs and scenes of white people threatening Ruby as she entered the school. (In real life and in the film, she was escorted by federal marshals.)
No time has been set to formally review the film and decide if it is allowed to be shown in schools.

The Tallahassee Democrat reported last week that the principal of a public charter school, Tallahassee Classical School, had submitted her resignation over complaints from parents that sixth graders were shown images of Michelangelo’s famous statue David in art class. After complaints from three parents because their children had seen the sculpture of a nude man, including one parent who called it “pornographic,” Hope Carrasquilla was forced out.
Carrasquilla told HuffPost that normally parents are notified about the viewing of classical artwork but that the letter didn’t go out this time due to “a series of miscommunications.”
Explaining his decision in an interview with Slate last week, the school board chairman, Barney Bishop III, said, “98 percent of the parents didn’t have a problem with [the lesson], but that doesn’t matter, because we didn’t follow a practice,” adding that “the rights of parents, that trumps the rights of kids.”
Bishop said he told Carrasquilla she could resign or he would have the board vote to terminate her without cause. While this was not tied directly to any of the new Florida laws, Bishop said the move was in accordance with the governor’s vision.
“Parents are the ones who are going to drive the education system here in Florida,” he said in the interview. “The governor said that, and we’re with the governor. Parents choose this school because they want a certain kind of education. We’re not gonna have courses from the College Board. We’re not gonna teach 1619 or CRT crap.”
