What to do when inmates are purposely infecting themselves hoping to get out. After a sudden spike in a Los Angeles jail they reviewed the videos and found a large number of inmates purposely their mouths on a facemask they got from an infected inmate as well as sharing a water bottle he'd drank out of. All in hopes of getting themselves sick and thus getting a release.

Did AC about 5-6 times I can't recall for certain. Spent a few overnights at Trump's old casino. It's the first one you see as you get off the highway. It truly was a dump with mirrors covering every bit of wall imaginable. The décor game me a 70's porn movie vibe.

Well, it's begun. Republican rednecks with guns defying medical safety orders and threatening armed violence against police if they try to enforce quarantine in one of the most states most affected by the virus.

Swastikas, Confederate flags and Trump (not American) flags and, of course, Trump, not wanting to lose any of his voting base, called them "good people" putting Republicans in a bind regarding coming down hard on them.

Armed protest in flagrant violation of the law is an extremely dangerous precedent to allow and it seems obvious the police will be forced to confront these people if it continues.
All it takes is one idiot to turn that situation into a bloodbath.

While it's hoped violence doesn't happen, if it should, god forbid, expect Trump to wash his hands and claim no responsibility while those gutless Republicans go en masse into hiding, leaving Governor Whitmer holding the bag and taking the blame.

Abbott Virus Test Used at White House Faces Accuracy Questions

The coronavirus test from Abbott Laboratories used at the White House to get rapid answers to whether someone is infected may miss as many as half of positive cases, according to a report from New York University that the company immediately disputed.

The analysis, which has yet to be confirmed, found that Abbott’s ID NOW missed at least one-third of positive cases detected with a rival test and as much as 48% when using the currently recommended dry nasal swabs, according to the report on BioRxiv, a server where researchers post early work before it has been reviewed by other scientists.

Abbott said the researchers didn’t use the test as intended and that the false-negative rate, as reported to the company, is 0.02%.

It's possible that there may be more C-19 infected people in the WH.

Florida is the key to winning the election. If Biden wins Florida than all he has to do is hold Clinton's states and flip either Pennsylvania or Michigan and he wins.

If Biden loses Florida, than he has to win back the entire blue wall (Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin) which will be much harder to do assuming Ohio stays red. You can play around with the interactive map below.

I do like to play around with those interactive maps, but really I would just prefer us ditching the whole electoral college

Florida a swing state on the margins, Obama won it twice but barely.

Florida is all about the demographic split. (Old White Baby Boomer Republicans vs Young Hispanic Millennials)

Posed to become a minority/majority state once the baby boomers pass on, the question will be who can galvanize their voter base to the polls the most, Biden or Trump. Morbidly the wild card here could end up being COVID 19 if things get worse in that state come the fall.

All the more reason why Biden's vp choice has to be from a swing state. He kind of hamstrung himself on choices by guaranteeing a woman and preferring a minority woman as there aren't a lot of good options in either that will bring him a swing state.

Gretchen Whitmer looked great on paper a month ago since she would bring Michigan but she's taken such a beating the last month over the shutdown I could see her actually losing Michigan for Biden whether she is on the ticket or not.

Kamala Harris is great on paper but she's from California so brings nothing to the electoral college. Ditto Elizabeth Warren.

Minnesota went blue last time though barely so Klobuchar could at least help him hold Minnesota.

Other names commonly bandied about bring nothing of value to him on the electoral sense except maybe holding a state blue or being from a red state that will most certainly stay red.
