What kind of a person would go from being hospitalized with COVID-19 symptoms for a week and then return to work as normal without telling his coworkers? Kansas House Speaker Ron “Rona” Ryckman, that’s who.

The Kansas lawmaker, a senior Republican from Olathe, a suburb of Kansas City, told supporters in an email obtained by the Kansas City Star about his diagnosis. Ryckman said he tested positive the week of July 13 and was then hospitalized for a week. The problem? He never told Democratic lawmakers in the Sunflower State, and even worse, he attended a July 29 meeting with Gov. Laura Kelly and members of the State Finance Committee, which was held indoors. While attendees were socially distanced in their spacing, Ryckman also removed his mask during the meeting.

Three groups of college Democrats in Massachusetts disinvited left-wing congressional primary challenger and Holyoke Mayor Alex Morse from all future events alleging that he showed a pattern of using “his platform and taking advantage of his position of power for romantic or sexual gain, specifically toward young students.”

Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and the Democrats need to stop screwing around and take immediate action, immediate as in YESTERDAY! This is Grand Theft Election in the worst sort of way as these shenanigans are clearly targeted at crippling vote-by-mail to help Trump. DeJoy needs to be hauled before Congress, in cuffs if he won't come voluntarily, grill his ass like a steak on live TV over what he's doing and have this bullshit stopped!

You mean to tell me they didn't know from jump that DeJoy was a Trump donor and was installed at the USPS for the express purpose of destroying it? Look, I understand my lack of knowledge when it comes to how politics works, but there should've been SOME way DeJoy could've been blocked.

Look, The UI benefits have expired. People can't pay rent, they might end up on the streets. Democrats are trying to help people, while Republicans are going after SNAP. I bet social security is next.

I take offense that the people who are currently working overtime to help us and keep Republicans from creating a Charley Dickens like nightmare world for the poor are accused of "screwing around."

DeJoy might actually be destroying the Post Office all on his own - he is a major investor in one of the competitors.

Which is something that must be addressed if the government changes hands after the election. Foxes should never be in charge of henhouses.

Not that he might not be messing with mail delivery on Trump's behalf, but he does have his own corrupt reasons as well.

Here's what caught my attention, a news article out of Utah states that soon BLM protesters could be hit with life sentences for mischief charges. Obviously crazy and insane, but of course, here comes Blanco with her response:

Of course. Now, shifting through her Twitter feed, here is her going conspiracy theorist about Twitter silencing conservatives.

Here's her supporting Obamagate without a hint of irony and here is her retweeting Trump going on about serving past his term limits. She also goes on to say Trump will not be implicated by the Epstein files.

    Here's this insane line.

And I'm pretty sure she retweeted that doctor who was all about demon seed if this tweet is any indication.

    She demanded Fauci be fire.

And it goes on. Retweeting Donald Trump, Allen West, and such. Also said to go buy Goya and demand schools reopen.

Siiiiiiiigh. So yeah, add her to pile WBE.

On this date in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, as well as 2019, "Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day" published profiles of Pete Sessions, the former U.S. House Representative from Texas' 32nd Congressional District, and somehow still only the second s***tiest person to hold the surname Sessions in American government. In our first look at Rep. Sessions, we identified him as a man perpetually under investigation for ethics investigations, who as the former chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee would assure the “party of family values” would meet annually in Las Vegas to see burlesque shows for entertainment, but then was OUTRAGED when Janet Jackson’s nipple fell out at the Super Bowl halftime show. In news stories you only wish were made up, we also talked about how Sessions once missed the ceremony to take his oath to uphold the Constitution because he was too busy attending a fundraiser, and how he was the one who helped orchestrate the 2013 Government Shutdown as a head of the House Rules Committee.

In our 2015 follow up on what hijinks Pete Sessions had gotten up to, we added his continued extremist voting record, as well as how he had accused the Obama Administration and Democrats of being “accountable for murders everyday committed by illegal immigrants” that they release (that aren’t actually happening), and how he reacted to the Supreme Court’s 6-3 ruling on the Affordable Care Act by saying that they had decided that “words do not matter” for upholding the flimsy challenge presented in King vs. Burwell. In March of 2016 Pete Sessions decided it’s a great time to introduce legislation “recognizing magic as a rare and valuable art form and national treasure confirming that he believes in magic more than he does climate change (and he’s produced more legislation to acknowledge it). After House Republicans in ruin any chance of passing funding for the prevention of the Zika Virus by repeatedly inserting “poison pill” legislation, if not far underfunding the cost estimates to successfully prevent the disease, Rep. Sessions said that it was proof that the House was running properly (Note: He still considers himself a champion of the unborn).

And, after the tragic mass shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Pete Sessions tries to invalidate that the shooter was motivated by resentment towards gays, and instead lied to try and change the narrative, claiming, The Pulse wasn’t “even a gay club. It was a young person’s club. They were Latinos”. (Someone might want to tell Rep. Sessions that young people or Latino people can also be gay. Oh, and that the Pulse is actually a gay nightclub, it clearly says so on their website and was founded as such in the memory of a gay man who died of AIDS.)

Sessions faced no Democratic challenger in the 2016 elections, and coasted to earning an eighth term in office with 71% of the vote against the scarecrows put out by the Libertarian and Green Parties, respectively. But, After fourteen-plus years of Pete Sessions’ bulls***, it seems that maybe even a red district like Texas’ 32nd has decided they’re fed up with him. At a March 2017 town hall, Sessions was mercilessly heckled and jeered by the audience, who were chanting “PETE MUST GO”. He didn’t make matters much better when he during his discussion of Trumpcare that he tried a unique method for calming them down… patronizing:

Actually, Pete, the problem might be that you’re not listening to your constituents, what with voting for a healthcare bill that only 20% of the country or less think is a good idea. Whether or not all the boos from that town hall translate to the polls in November of 2018, but did Pete Sessions end up with someone badass enough to take him down? OH. HELL. YEAH. Colin Allred… pull up a chair. Make no mistake, football is one of the biggest pillars of Texas life, and Allred was a four year starter for the Baylor Bears who went on to play in the NFL for the Tennessee Titans. But maybe you’re thinking that makes him just some slab of beef that Team Blue is running? You would be so, so wrong. Allred is also a law school graduate from the University of ************Berkley who specializes in civil rights law who worked in both the Obama White House, for Julian Castro, and the U.S. Attorney’s office. We were ecstatic to watch on Election Night 2018 when results were coming in, and Republican Congressmen were sent packing, and among their number? Pete Sessions’ dumb ass, as he only got 45% of the vote against Allred.

Here's the thing, though… we’re not rid of Pete Sessions. Like a bad penny, the motherf***er has turned up again, carpet-bagging his way over to Texas’ 17th Congressional District where he’s running for the seat being vacated by the retiring Bill Flores. TX-17 is the third separate Congressional District that Pete Sessions has tried to be the representative of since he arrived in Washington, D.C. in 1997, and it has a +12 Republican lean, which is 7 points more conservative than TX-32, where he lost in and abandoned in 2018.

It seems that Pete Sessions is compelled to remain in the capitol to abuse the system until he inevitably gets caught in a criminal act and ends up in jail, or dies of old age. He doesn’t seem to know any other way to be but a craven weasel.

Pelosi, Schumer and Biden, the triumvirate of the Democratic Party may have screwed around so badly, it might be too late to take immediate action. Election is less than 3 months away.

Trump still has his loyal base, consisting of racists, anti-immigration activists and far right supporters. That's a given. but he can lose independent voters especially in swing states to Biden.

The Post Master is appointed by the President and there is no Congressional or Senate confirmation. So please explain how Pelosi and Schumer could have done something?

This is something that needs to be changed in the next administration. Too many important positions are appointed by the President. This one in particular is far too critical for that.

If I had my way, the Postmaster would have to be appointed by the House and approaved by the Senate.

I thought the Postmaster-General is appointed by the Board of Governors of the United States Postal Service and this appointment needed Senate Confirmation?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United...master_General

Appointed members of the Board of Governors of the United States Postal Service select the postmaster general and deputy postmaster general, who then join the board.

The postmaster general is now appointed by nine "governors", appointed by the president with the advice and consent of the Senate. The governors, along with the postmaster general and the deputy postmaster general, constitute the full Postal Service Board of Governors
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Board_...Postal_Service

The nine presidentially appointed governors choose the postmaster general, who also serves as a member of the board. These ten then choose a deputy postmaster general, who becomes the 11th member of the board. The postmaster general and deputy postmaster general serve at the pleasure of the governors.
