    Cory Gardner

Welcome to what is the 905th original profile here at “Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day”, where we’ll be discussing U.S. Senator Cory Gardner of Colorado, who after serving in the Colorado House of Representatives from 2004-2010, used the momentum of the Tea Party Wave in 2010 to get elected to Congress to represent Colorado’s 4th Congressional District, got a second term in the House after his constituency had Fort Collins cut out of it to make it more conservative for him to win in 2012, and then in 2014, made the jump to U.S. Senate.

So how did a young Republican like Cory Gardner become a Senator Gardner as his state has trended from purple to blue, its Democratic state legislature has produced models of progressive policy that he opposes, but have been raging successes, and Gardner has been inexplicably left as the last Republican in state-wide office left standing?

Is it because he’s one of the most moderate members of the GOP Senate right now?

Oh, make no mistake… HE’S FULL OF S***.

He says he doesn’t support “Personhood”? Guess what, his voting record says otherwise, from the Colorado state legislature to his time in the Senate. He says he’s a moderate on LGBTQ Rights? Look at his f***ing voting record.

He says he wouldn’t support or vote for Donald Trump anymore in 2016 and he should “step aside”? Criticizing him after his “both sides” comments after Charlottesville?

Gardner’s fallen in line, voted for all his Cabinet and judicial appointees, and now has endorsed him in 2020, after ALL the corruption, treason, and disappointment. While giving Trump the credit for all the positives in Colorado that are actually the Governor and state legislature’s doing.

That’s his whole game. Lie about being a moderate, while having a voting record that still supports Republican policies nine out of ten times. Need more evidence? Let’s go to the rundown of the past decade:

Cory Gardner was thought to be the most vulnerable Senator going into the 2020 elections, perhaps with only Sen. Susan Collins giving him a run for his money. The fact that he’s being challenged by former two-term Governor John Hickenlooper did not help his fortunes, and most polling has him down double digits.

It's looking like this might be the only time we profile this duplicitous muppet, and his fraudulent “moderate” legacy.

EDIT: I wouldn't be surprised, though, if some kind of blueprint detailing where and what genus/species of flower or tree gets planted was left behind by the lady. So it could be restored after the Trumps leave.

That, and the Swedish Chef is more likely to succeed at making a souffle than Trump is to succeed at governance.

Sure, it’s acceptable to those assholes until a spouse, relative or close friend dies from the virus, then it’s UNacceptable.

The Republicans, in 2020, for the first time, have no platform. Instead: "RESOLVED, That the Republican Party has and will continue to enthusiastically support the President’s America-first agenda." It's no longer the Republican party. It's a Trump cult.

For comparison, here is the draft 2020 Democratic Party Platform, it's 80 pages long and has a table of contents.

Republicans Rush to Finalize Convention (‘Apprentice’ Producers Are Helping)

Democrats set a high bar last week for the pandemic-era political convention, dispensing with cheering crowds in favor of a virtual pageant that encompassed passionate speeches, a charming cross-country roll call vote, vignettes from an Oscar-winning filmmaker and a low-fi fireworks display above a parking lot. A few hiccups aside, even jaded network executives conceded the party mostly pulled it off.

Now it’s the Republicans’ turn in the prime-time spotlight — and the party led by a former reality TV star is rushing to measure up.

After scrapping plans for a full-bore, in-person spectacle in Charlotte, N.C., and Jacksonville, Fla., because of the coronavirus crisis, Republicans are working to finalize a week’s worth of events that can match the production put on for the Democratic nominee, Joseph R. Biden Jr., while meeting the exacting — and frequently shifting — standards of President Trump.

Two producers of “The Apprentice,” where Mr. Trump rose to TV stardom, are involved in the planning. Sadoux Kim, a longtime deputy to the “Apprentice” creator Mark Burnett, is a lead consultant on the production. Mr. Kim once served as a Miss Universe judge when Mr. Trump owned the pageant. Chuck LaBella, a former NBC entertainment executive who helped produce “The Comedy Central Roast of Donald Trump,” is also on the payroll.

    Curious

Kellyanne Conway to leave the White House at the end of the month, citing the need to focus on her family

Kellyanne Conway, a senior adviser to President Trump and one of his longest-serving aides, is leaving the White House at the end of the month.

Conway, whose title is counselor to the president, was Trump’s third campaign manager in 2016 and the first woman to successfully manage a presidential campaign to victory. She joined the White House at the start of Trump’s term and has been one of his most visible and vocal defenders.

Conway informed Trump of her decision Sunday night in the Oval Office.
Her husband George T. Conway III, a conservative lawyer and outspoken critic of the president, is also stepping back from his role on the Lincoln Project, an outside group of Republicans devoted to defeating Trump in November. He will also take a hiatus from Twitter, the venue he has often used to attack the president.
Conway’s high school aged daughter had drawn attention for tweets about her parents and politics.

On Sunday, however, she also tweeted that social media was “becoming way too much” so she had decided to take “a mental health break.”

“See y’all soon,” she wrote. “Thank you for the love and support. No hate to my parents please.”

Why can't cops stop shooting at black Americans? Conservatives say these people should have listened to the cops' orders but when white guys are arrested, they say innocent until proven guilty.
