It could also be the difference between someone serving time in prison and someone who hasn't even been to trial yet. Handcuffing is supposed to be for people who are libel to do something to harm themselves or others, or libel to try and escape. .

None of us Myself and the 14 I mean had served prison time yet. We had not be charged yet. The time in the hospital happened after our arrests but before we went to jail. No charge.. No arraignment. Maybe we were cuffed because we were going to be charged? Maybe they are doing the same to him because maybe they plan to charge him. For what I dont know. I am just saying that I am not shocked to hear it happen.

Now while in prison we were cuffed in the hospital. My prison sent inmates who need to go to the hospital to a hospital in Columbus. And 100 percent of the time we were cuffed to the bed.

One dude was a domestic-abuser and the other guy was a pedophile.'

Yeah. Full on victim blaming. Not sure if it's true or not, but I'd wait until a respectable news source tells me this. Not some 'Q'uack on Twitter. And regardless, they didn't deserve to die.

More likely, Coulter is getting her sources from Facebook copy-paste or NewsPunch, who are somehow less reliable than InfoWars yet nobody talks about them.

I read a report tonight that Jacob Blake has been handcuffed to his bed in the hospital.

There have been no charges announced, no warrant presented. Plus the man is paralyzed.

I don't agree with rioting and burning things down, but **** like this makes me understand why it happens.

When the cop shot my cousin-who was in his car, the cop took him out and handcuffed him.

While he was bleeding to death and left him on the ground.

Oh the thug my cousin was chasing-who was trying to rob his house with his wife and mother there-never arrested.

311 is digging information in most other states, FYI.

I thought it was more about situations that don't involve sending authorities after specific people (like reporting a non-working traffic light or an abandoned vehicle) but looking at the website, it seems to be used for minor complaints about individuals (noise complaints, lack of mask-wearing.) It is going to be tough to educate citizens that 911 is for emergencies and 311 is for something that raises hackles, especially since many people won't be able to tell the difference.

Ours does that too.

It offers a menu of choices too.

I want to say it was promoted once when it came out. And some 911 operators will tell you to call 311 for non-emergencies. At least ours will.

One of my friends recently saw some guy wandering around at weird hours, but he wasn't really messing with anyone. She was worried he might have a disability or some other issue, but didn't want to call anyone because she didn't want the cops showing up all keyed up and ready to bop.

We had something like that happen. Guy was walking around late around SMU and some other place near it. Someone called the cops. Guy meets cops. Guy ends up DEAD. Found out guy had mental issues and may have been off his meds. Nothing else was made of it. The guy killed was white. I don't think he was homeless.

Biden's strategy: They need to see just enough of me to know I'm presidential, responsible, and going to lead them out of the mess Trump created. Make the most of what appearances I'm doing. In no uncertain terms, the American people don't want to see partisan politics. Less is more.
Trump's strategy: He's a malignant narcissist whose campaign is burning money in a oil drum, and thinks that winning is "fever-pitched loons assembled before me with their faces lit full of joy". So he assembled 1500 people on the South Lawn of the White House to speak at them and before people tuning in at home for a 70 minute (SEVENTY MINUTE) acceptance speech packed with the most easily debunked lies.


Trump's just that stupid. His own need for adulation is worth the risk of those people's lives, the violations of the law it took to do it (Hatch Act), and he thinks that the more he rambles on, the better it is for everyone.

Quick polls I've looked at have him not only still behind Biden by double digits nationally, not just trailing in virtually every swing state (and in enough by greater than the margin of error that he would fail to get to even 200 electoral votes)... but the past two weeks with the DNC and RNC have shown Biden pulling away MORE. Like there's one out today with Biden up with 54.2% to Trump's 39.6% among likely voters. Fifteen points down. We never saw anything like that in 2016, and this equals some of the polls from six weeks ago, now closer to election day.
