That's to be expected when the president elevates supposed "victims" like the McCloskeys to the RNC. He never condemns violence done by his supporters. "Both sides" after Charlottesville. Cesar Sayoc sending pipe bombs was ignored by Trump. He elevated the McCloskeys at the RNC. Rittenhouse was at a Trump rally and went out with an AR-15 to defend against "BLM invasion".

At best, Trump will pretend he doesn't know who the kid is. At worst, he's going to make a martyr of him and invite him to a campaign event if he's out on bail.

Your party is literally calling Kyle Rittenhouse a national treasure and a hero. So how can you say this, back that party, and expect us to believe anything you say?

But it is only conservatives that have made "Cancel Culture" an election issue.
There's a category error in the comparison between my comments on open borders and "I do think we should respect one another's time enough not to insist on public comments every time a congressional backbencher says something stupid."

When I noted the apparel of the apparel of the Deputy Chair of the Democratic National Committee, it was a comment about an objective fact. It's not asking anything of you guys.

I would imagine if the Deputy Chair of the Republican National Committee, an individual who was also in congressional leadership, went to an event with a T-shirt advocating for white nationalism, or a reversal of the 19th amendment, it would be rightly seen as significant.

Care to go to bat for why it's wrong for me to mock a Nazi being punched in the face, Mets?

Or are you still "consistent" on this?
You could look at what I said at the time.

    Man, come on.

    That would be like saying...

Based on that The Democratic Party nominated a person that isn't for single payer healthcare and (insert the forum member who will vote 'Democrat' here) backs and will vote for the Democratic nominee, I cannot be expected to believe them if they say "I Believe In Single Payer Healthcare."

    Which is just silly.

I am unaware of the RNC calling the guy a national treasure.

The "national treasure" comments seem to come from retired baseball player Aubrey Huff.

It was certainly wrong of him to say that, but I do not believe he is an elected officeholder, or member of Republican party leadership.

Well, thanks for highlighting how you've defended Nazis. I guess you're consistent, and a Nazi defender.

So you have that to hang your hat on.

I have recently pointed out Rittenhouse has been supported by GOP Congressman Paul Gosar. InformationGeek just posted that Alabama GOP Congressional candidate Barry Moore is defending him?

You're simultaneously defending a Nazi being punched in the face, and willfully turning a blind eye to a white nationalist who just shot and murdered people as your party endorses it, without any hesitation that there's hypocrisy or a double standard there.

Well, false equivalency for one thing

There were 100,000,000 victims of communism in the 20th Century.

    https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine...llions/302849/

Does this mean we can punch communists and socialists?
Nazism is about killing very specific groups, the inferior races and such. When one says that they are a Nazi, it means that they have committed to their heart the murder of various ethnic groups. There is no middle ground to be found with their ideals, no 'good people on both sides'.

And while communism certainly has a high body count, its stated aim is equality. And socialism less so the body count, what with France and the UK are not charnel houses, for example.

Just... I said it yesterday, but...

Look at yourselves. Look at what Trump is making you become.

You've literally defended the assault of a Nazi, without thinking about it.

Like I said in a past post the kid went there looking to claim a body. he wasnt there defending anyone. he wasnt trying to restore order(Which is the job of the police not a 17 year old nut job) he went there looking for trouble he went there to start shot. And people are dead because of it.

I live with a hard core Trumper. She is going on about how at least someone tried to do something. I cant wrap my head around that kind of thought process.
