Moderna’s coronavirus vaccine shows encouraging early results in human safety trial

Moderna, the Massachusetts biotechnology company behind a leading effort to create a coronavirus vaccine, announced promising early results from its first human safety tests Monday. The company plans to launch a large clinical trial in July aimed at showing whether the vaccine works.

The company reported that in eight patients who had been followed for a month and a half, the vaccine at low and medium doses triggered blood levels of virus-fighting antibodies that were similar or greater than those found in patients who recovered. That would suggest, but doesn’t prove, that it triggers some level of immunity. The antibody-rich blood plasma donated by patients who have recovered is separately being tested to determine whether it is an effective therapy or preventive measure for covid-19.

I find this deeply disturbing. His casual response leads me to believe that he actually believes that the Democrats engineered COVID19 for their own electoral gain. There is absolutely no empirical evidence to support this claim. He is either detached from reality, or engaging in lies to tie Biden to China.

If he had said, China knew about the virus and let it spread in order to remove his dad from office, than one could say, allright, there is no direct evidence to support that claim, but there has been a lot of strange circumstantial evidence coming out of China, it is not beyond the realm of possibility to arrive at such a conclusion, but to claim that the Democrats are somehow involved in this collusion is sheer madness. You mind as well start talking to the invisible pink dotted elephant in the room.

There is a disturbing ongoing trend in your country for people to believe conspiracy theories that are not backed by any empirical evidence or fact, once you throw logic and rationality out the door, you begin to descend down the path of political extremism.

The Arizona Department of Health Services made a new argument Friday to justify denying the public access to information about coronavirus cases inside nursing homes: Naming facilities with outbreaks would hurt business.

If the public knew which facilities have outbreaks, people associated with those facilities might be discriminated against and struggle to obtain goods or services. Disclosure could also harm "possibly even their residents" because the stigma could interfere with care.
