The drama for me was if some way Trump's body was so far gone that he wouldn't respond to treatment. It was never about the US doctors at Walter Reed not doing their best.
None of them wants a Potus corpse on their watch, nobody wants their institution to become the next Parkland, and plagued in conspiracy mythology forevermore.
I’m not saying it couldn’t, and possibly still won’t kill him. I’m just saying great lengths taken improve the odds.
Yesterday, this is what it looked like in Indianapolis:

Says two things.
1. People appear to be more determined to vote than ever than they were in 2016 (or 2018).
2. Governor Holcomb should have allowed for more options to vote, like more places (the City-County Building is the only place you can vote early until October 24th), or through mail-in. It's not he's at risk of losing; the Indianapolis Star ran an article a few days ago pointing out most Hoosiers don't even know who his opponent is.

Hillary was right!
Saying greater lengths taken to keep a patient alive will improve their odds is not untrue or uninformed.
And yes, those drugs could backfire. The stress of the election coupled with covid could kill him. He could die. But he has a team of doctors who's only job is to keep him alive. Who else has that? Ten doctors ONLY responsible for keeping that person alive.

It really isn't untrue or uninformed at all. If you have millions of dollars and access to the best medical treatment the country has to offer you are far and beyond much more likely to survive Covid than someone who's only source of healthcare is walking into an underfunded city ER. That doesn't mean Covid isn't dangerous, and it doesn't mean wealth is a sure bet to recovery but it does mean your chances are better the richer you are. If you can't see that then I don't know what to say.
To reiterate what the above two are saying,
we need to give up hoping for a cosmic comeuppance on Trump. Ultimately rich dude elected to the highest office of the richest and most powerful country in the world survives a disease thanks to access to treatment that the common people don't have.
It's no mystery.
The overall death rate for COVID patients in the US seems to be just under 3% - Trump's chances to survive were always pretty high. While he is more at risk due to underlying conditions (age and obesity at the very least) he also had access to much better medical care than the average person as well.
The virus is disgustingly contagious, and the biggest danger was always overwhelming the medical system - the worst cases are certain death without a ventilator and there aren't enough if too many people need them at the same time. We could see the death rate more than double (and that's a conservative estimate) under such a situation. I live in a city of about 20k people, and I doubt we even have 20 ventilators in the local hospital. That's at best 0.1%, and it doesn't come close to what would be needed if things are allowed to get out of hand. And my city might have more than the average, as I live in what is essentially a giant retirement community and our hospital effectively specializes in care for the elderly as a result.
Basically, there is a difference between risk to an individual, and risk to the population as a whole.
Dark does not mean deep.
Just saw trump's tweets saying Biden, Obama and Clinton need to be arrested for the alleged coup against him. Someone needs to tell him America doesn't arrest political opponents.
Think about the people in Trump's orbit who were considered to be the people propping him up the past five years on campaign talking points. The proxies he was most likely to throw on cable news.

They're all sick right now. (Rudy looked like it yesterday, but hasn't announced a positive test.) Like, he's alone. He's bleating out in terror on Twitter while high on meds, because that's all he has left.
He misspelled Regeneron today, and than touted Trump testing positive for antibodies as proof he was better.
Trump was transfused with plasma with antibodies in it, the test is only detecting medication in his system. The statement is a red herring that makes it sound like Trump's producing his own antibody response.
Also, they would have had to fake the diagnosis of all the people in his orbit he's likely gotten sick.
He's more of a Dr. Leo Spaceman.
