So, in general, we do at least agree that something should be done in the cases we discussed.

As for those other circumstances, they do exist, but please never make the mistake of generalizing preferred roles, some men want to spend more time with their kids and some women choose not to have them until later in life.

When I say that men in general are more likely to act in a particular way, and that women in general are more likely to act in a particular way, this is not equivalent to saying that all men act one way, that all women act a particular way, or that anyone who acts differently from what is expected of people of their sex/ gender should suffer professional repercussions.

November 1st is Dia del los Muertos. A Mexican holiday in which people gather to celebrate the memory of their deceased loved ones. Trump has declared November 1st a national day of remembrance for people killed by illegal immigrants.

Not too bad of an idea. Delegates representing regions instead of individual states, perhaps. For instance, Washington State, Oregon, and maybe part of northern California lumped together as the PNW region.

I like what was posted in here a couple days ago - The Wyoming Rule. Increase the number in the house of representatives by eliminating the 435 member cap and making the population of the least populated state equal to one representative and increasing the number alloted to larger states by multiples of that. It isn't perfect, but it IS better and won't require a constitutional ammendment.

This one seems solid as well.

Hispanics is a pretty big and diverse group. If your family came from Mexico, you get thrown into the group. If you escaped from Cuba, you get thrown in the group. If you fled from Columbia when the Cartels were at the height of their power, you get thrown in the group. I'm not sure, but I think if your family came from Brazil (a former Portuguese colony) they still lump you in as a Hispanic.

That's a wide array of backgrounds (with a corresponding wide array of politics) to throw under one umbrella.

Even if they lose, we have to concede to the possibility that the GOP is going to stubbornly stay this way until either some other party hoovers up enough of their voters to become an actual opposition (As much as I dislike Conservatism, unless the Democratic party splits into progressives and moderates, it is the only viable opposing political policy.) Or until enough conservatives become moderate again to actually develop viable alternative politicians who are closer to the centre.

I don't think I'm going to watch either, I'm also avoiding twitter, and Facebook. I voted for Biden through gritted teeth. If Trump does win tomorrow, it'll be a culture war thing. Culture war crap is all he's got. It's all his supporters have got. Anything to own the libs.

Chances are, they are desperate for masculine leadership because of a combination of nostalgia, knowledge that a large portion of people are increasingly getting turned off of machoism, and the fact that some of them take machoism to such an extreme level it might as well be fake.
