I really don't think it's going to start that late.
We'll see if there's high turnout among progressive groups in favor of a President they like rather than against a President they don't.
There are two historical trends that don't go well for Democrats in midterms.
The party in the White House tends to lose seats in the midterms. See 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018.
Conservative constituencies are more likely to vote in off-year elections. Maybe progressive constituencies will be energized on November 2022, but we don't know for sure, and we certainly don't know what the political environment will be. Presumably, the Biden administration will do some stuff to piss off people.
Another complicating factor is that if Democrats do well in the Senate races, two of those Senators will be up for reelection in 2022: Mark Kelly in Arizona, and Raphael Warnock in Georgia. Fortunately for Democrats, both states have a history of Republican kooks who could definitely pull off a Roy Moore/ Todd Akin and lose a winnable race.
Sincerely,
Thomas Mets

Went out and voted today. My oh my, I saw a familiar face on the ballot. Don Blankenship running in the Constitution Party for President. That guy won't give up.
Also, no Green Party on the ballot here in Wisconsin. Just got something called the American Solidarity Party. Never heard of them.

Would that be the Wal-Mart employee and Cook running for office?
A Vice Presidential candidate stopped in Marshalltown on Thursday — the only one to do so since the caucus. However, the candidate was not incumbent Republican Mike Pence or Democrat Kamala Harris, but rather Malcolm Jarrett with the Socialist Workers Party.
Jarrett is a cook from Pittsburgh and was a member of the 2019 International May Day Brigade in Havana, Cuba. He is running with Presidential candidate Alyson Kennedy of Dallas, who is employed at Walmart.
I voted, quite happy I timed it right so I got a short line. 99% of people wearing masks and no drama. Wish everyone had it that easy.

No it's not.
I guess if you want to say because people "believed" Trump, so they voted for him, sure,
Can we not get voting machines to just work? Literally four years of prep time on this, every time, and **** is still "breaking" the morning of. Just absurd.
American Exceptionalism.
But let's spend years decrying voting by mail, despite actual evidence it works with almost no cases of voter fraud.
Where did the rumor that trump's a strong person come from anyway? Someone that's constantly whining and has a thin skin like trump isn't a strong person.
