Rewatched Demolition Man last year and the best thing about it is all the things it predicts about the future, like video conferencing, self-driving cars with onboard computers, and touchscreen tablets. Bearing in mind it was the early 90s. There’s also a hint of the desolation of the Blur-Oasis wars in its burnt out dystopian vision of 1996.

The actual point of the story is kind of muddled, as the rebellion want to live in sewers and eat living creatures for food when obviously better alternatives are available. Also, it is unclear whether Sly has sex with his daughter or not.

Kinda surprised the never made a sequel. The movie was succesful enough i guess and the story is easy to write, with all the problems two societies so different living together must create.
