Loved the show. The intro as well. Hakuna Matata is my favorite song from the film, which i watched much later.

If there is someone here, who grew up in India in the 90s, he or she would recognize it without fail. The show was a huge hit with kids. It was one of the most watched and beloved shows on Indian televison. Looking back it borrows from a superhero more familiar to Western audiences. A powerful superhero who disguises as a reporter, loves his coworker and is vulnerable to a certain piece of rock. Sounds familiar? Looks like i was a fan of Superman even before i knew who he was. At the same time there are major differences like his powers being based on Indian mysticism, so i don't think of him as a knockoff. Visual effects from 20 years ago shows here. But this will always have a place in my heart.
