Made me smile when the article popped up on my feed.

As I think about it, Roy Thomas was also involved in the debut of another iconic vehicle: The Quinjet

I wish DC would put out some kind of merch celabrating it (and of course the BlackHawk's Grumman XF5-F-1), either as a Hot Wheels scale to go with the many bat-vehicles, and others, something (small 80s)GI Joe/Superpowers scale, or an Eaglmoss type statue figurine, ...something! .

Thinking of buying a model of the XP-55 and repainting it with All-Star colors!

Curious how are people reading the color of All-Star-Special, as White or as Silver?
Sadly they close all these threads, so never followed up.

Here is the model in glorious silver, with some All-Star Special markings.

I see what you're doing, fun!

And that's the XF5-F-1 type used by the BlackHawk Squadron

Hopefully Spielberg finally gets that movie into production.

Is Spy Smasher's Gyrosub next!? (although I doubt we had a real world equivalent, the Northrop N-1M or that German "flying-wing" seen in Indiana Jones, none were going under water ;-) )

I always loved that wings forward design.

Yeah hopefully if Speilberg's Blackhawks film ever comes to fruition he uses the XF5-F-1 type planes.
