Still one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.

When I voted, I put Jess below Hal and Kyle, who was my first place. Funny how things have changed in the last times (Future State and the tie-ins of Death Metal probably had a lot to do with it). For me right now, regarding the Earth Lanterns, it's like this:

    Jessica > Jo > Kyle > Guy > Hal >>> Simon > John

What a breakout character Jessica has been, and what an underdeveloped character Simon was. What happened there? Was it the unfortunate guns? The car thief background? Did the apparition of Jessica steal his light, just like John did with Guy back in the 70's?

Voted for John Stewart. He is what I think of when I think Green Lantern.

    Mine goes like this:

TIE! John Stewart along with original Earth 2 Alan Scott.

    2 - Jessica

    3 - Guy Gardner

    4 - Kyle

    5 - Simon

6 - Hal. I have just always found Hal BORING.

Not sure. I kinda wonder if he skewed a little closer to the brash hero type, which is kinda an overdone stocktype. Granted, the character was developed beyond that (he's a more sensitive person than other examples) and putting him with Jessica was a smart move for character contrast and all that. Could be that Jessica becoming a breakout character stole some of the thunder (although she was given the spotlight a lot quicker then he was). Like a lot of creative stuff, there are quite a few factors in what catches on or doesn't and I don't think there's a single smoking gun.
Doctor Strange: "You are the right person to replace Logan."
X-23: "I know there are people who disapprove... Guys on the Internet mainly."

    Updated List (Earth GLs):
Alan Scott (No contest, Alan's the man)
Guy Gardner (Specifically Tomasi/Gibbons' Guy, or any time he's with Tora)
Hal Jordan (GLTAS broke the tie for me)
John Stewart (it's still very close)
    Jessica Cruz
    Kyle Rayner
Jo Mullein (she's cool but she'll need more stories to climb higher)
    Simon Baz
Charlie Vicker (because I don't want poor Simon to be the ass bottom of the list)

    Non-Human GLs:

    Don't make me do it.

Now that you mention it, that could be another reason. His personality.
Hal is the cocky ace pilot with no fear; Guy is an ******* who thinks with his fists; John is a serious and stern military man; Kyle is a smiling, idealistic, artistic romantic in deep contact with his emotions; Jess is hyper-anxious and shy; Simon is...
I can't complete the sentence. His personality was never really defined beyond his love for his family and how unfair his life has been. He was just a levelheaded guy with a complicated life. Then, when he had his adventures with Jessica, he became impulsive, idiotic, arrogant, etc. to best contrast with her personality. And I think that was his downfall. They never developed him.
