Default Was there an amnesty for bans when the forums reset?

I’ve got a friend who was banned a decade ago, and both he and I have vague recollections if there being some sort of ban amnesty (bamnesty?) when the forums reset. Is that true or are we fooling ourselves?

For the record, when I say “friend” I mean it. I was never banned

For the most part, yes. But there were a few exceptions.

Yes, when the forums reset all the bans that were on record were wiped and any past behaviours forgotten about.
We did, however, keep in mind a very small number of extraordinarily horrid folk who we just automatically said "Nope!" about.

Hmmm.... I wondered how one of the "horrid folk" suddenly started posting again these past few weeks. So far they've behaved but what if they revert to their prior behavior? How many "strikes" to they get?
