    Default Marty Pasko, RIP

I'm late on this but as a significant Superman writer I think he should have his own thread here.

Heard from another creator on social media, but I wouldn't know who's close enough to know. Damned young.

Saw this on Bleeding Cool yesterday. I don't think they gave a cause of death.

Damn he co-wrote Mask of the Phantasm? That alone would make him a legend. Wish we had gotten more Superman work in outside media from him, but he definitely left a legacy. RIP.

He wrote the scene where Bruce went to his parent's grave asking them to let him be happy and give up his vow. It was apparently the one part of the movie they never changed or altered.

Rest in peace, he seemed to have created a couple of cool villains for the big blue.

In the 70’s, I loved Bates, Maggin, & Conway writing Superman but Pasko was probably my favorite. He was great at taking established villains and making them seem more threatening. He did this during a great Metallo storyline. Of course he introduced villains like Master Jailer & the Atomic Skull. My favorite Superman writer during my favorite period for the character.

I already expressed my deep love for Martin Pasko's comic book work on the other thread.

Since we're listing his credits, we'd be remiss in not mentioning THE DC VAULT. That was his, too. Sits proudly on my book shelf.

Woah that part is hugely popular. How did he never get to write a Superman movie? What a shame.

He written one of the best Superman backup stories featuring a supporting character who's not Lois or Jimmy, My Son The Orphan from Action 468.
No matter how many reboots, new origins, reinterpretations or suit redesigns. In the end, he will always be SUPERMAN

My favorite Pasko Superman story is from SUPERMAN #330.

What exactly is the W logo substituting the DC bullet? I have an Action Comics isuse with that same watermark. Was it some sort bootleg or experiment in distribution?

Anyway, the DC Presents intro story with Pasko and Garcia Lopez would be my favorite of his comic works. Though the back ups were also really great
