Interesting how John Broome emphasized on Carol being a capable boss of a company, shaping up to be a strong character even before receiving her Star Sapphire powers, and didn’t just simply characterize her as being some ditzy, lovesick bride-to-be of the baby boomer generation (Showcase #22, September 1959).
