I'm not sure what to make of Nubia...I feel like post-COIE her role was appropriated by other characters, primarily Philippus, Artemis and Donna (and now Jason too). She doesn't really serve any purpose at this point. I guess she can be reinvented into a completely different character, but then why even call her Nubia?

Jason's no longer around so that leaves some freedom for Nubia. She and Donna aren't really alike other than being Diana's sisters and they can still be different in that regard. How is she like Artemis?

At one point Donna had the same origin as her - a long lost twin kidnapped by a villain. That's no longer in continuity ofc, but you never know with Donna. As for Artemis, she was created as the "dark" Wonder Woman which is what Nubia was supposed to be originally.

Artemis has more in common with Oranna than Nubia. With Donna as you said, her continuity is up in the air.

I'd Diana and Nubia created by Hippolyta and Philippus respectively. Nubia goes miising for a while. Donna is adopted. Nubia returns

Yeah, that sounds like the best solution. And if Hippolyta and Philippus are married they can still be considered sisters.

As a matter of fact, Artemis is supposed to be the post-Crisis version of Orana.

Batman has about 20 Family members i'm sure Nubia will find a purpose with her family of Amazons

She needs her own mythology. Wonder Woman of the underworld protecting Themyscira from behind the doorway was good. The description for Nubia: Real One is better, eagerly awaiting what L.L. Mckinney brings to the character!

Who was seemingly inspired by Nubia herself. I mean the whole thing with challenging Diana to prove which one is more worthy of the Wonder Woman mantle is from Nubia's first appearance.

New editor of DC, Marie Javins, was a fan of Nubia growing up so hopefully that means good things for the character in the future beyond just the current McKinney stuff.

I wanna see how Nubia and Donna react to each other.
Some of us wait, some of us act.

I hope so too. But I do find it funny she said she grew up reading Nubia when the character had like 3 appearances around the time she was created.
It boggles my mind how underused Nubia has been.

I had to wonder about that too. I assume it just meant she started reading WW around the time Nubia was introduced, maybe also that Nubia's getting some spotlight recently.

Depending on how old she is, she could have read Nubia's post crisis appearances and then sought ought her earlier appearances from the Golden Age.
