City next to us is opening a drive in! First film is a free showing of wonder woman!

So that's now two drive ins right near our city! Crazy.

As long as people are reluctant to go to a regular theater drive ins will fill a need and be profitable. And as long as they are profitable more will open up.

Highest grossing place is a drive in.

Also looks like garth brooks is doing a drive in streamed concert at drive ins.

Some movie chains are putting screens on the side of the building and making "parking lot drive ins". Also the rose bowl is now a drive in!

I've never experienced a drive in theater. The concept is interesting and I think I'd enjoying going to one, and it's a good alternative to indoor theaters while Covid is still going on. But I doubt it could ever replace indoor theaters for me though.

Are they going to dip into the $5 DVD bins for movies?

I'd go to the Drive-In to see Tenet.

Not in the days of streaming and violating copyright downloads.

My city is doing a Drive-In in the parking lot of the Minor League stadium. My wife and I went with a couple of friends to see The Big Lebowski and This is Spinal Tap and while the venue wasn't the ideal place to hold a Drive in, it was a lot of fun and a good use of some dead space right now.

Back in the day, drive-ins were usually not very fun, between the weather and the bugs. The one time I can remember fun happening was going to see Buck Rogers but watching Animal House on the other screen.

Our local drive-in did yours one better.

    Skunks.

They would come around after all the food people dropped and threw out of their windows. You had to be careful not to step on them if you wanted refreshments or a trip to the rest room.

Despite that? I loved going to the drive-in. We would take the pick-up, park it sideways, put a couple of flip-chairs in the back and bring dinner with us. It was a blast.

I'll have to look into any local new ones (preferaby skunk-free)
