Do you guys know this channel Triforce Films on YouTube? They post a "Saturday Morning Acapella" every week. Anyway, here's their rendition of the Shaman King theme (and yes, I'm counting anime among "cartoons". Anyone who wants to argue the point with me will have to file the proper paperwork).

The lyrics might not be in English but there's been some pretty decent anime tunes over the years.

Cowboy Bebop of course. Yoko Kanno also did music for Macross Plus and Escaflowne, two other popular 90's anime series.

Evangelion has an extremely popular song and one that fits well with the rapid-fire images of the opening.

I've liked the tunes in Bubblegum Crisis although they're somewhat derivative of the music from "Streets of Fire" and some popular French and Phillipine pop songs from around the time.

And they did it in such a way that some of us can still sing the song all the way through from memory 40+ years later.

I think with LOTL's theme and opening it gives the basic origin story but doesn't really elaborate much on the land itself apart from a T-rex being there (Which probably is part of the reason that many think they simply went back in time when it's way more complex than that).

LOL^ that's an absolute contradiction, yet I know exactly what you are conveying and the shows it describes (mostly looking at you Krofft bros.), must confess that is a term I've never seen used.

Okay, guilty pleasure time. This show is kind of the poster child for dated trend chasing, but I have a soft spot for the theme song:
