Whatever happened to Sketch from Claremont’s Revolution era? She seemingly joined the team at the end of one issue to never been seen or mentioned again.
Also whatever happened to Astrid Bloom? Has she been trapped in the astral plane all this time?
Emma Frost, Rogue, Felicia Hardy, Helena Bertinelli, Allison Blaire, Barbara Gordon, Monica Rambeau, Carol Danvers, Illyana Rasputin, Ororo Munroe, Harleen Quinzel, Lorna Dane, Irene Adler, Kate Kane, Rachel Grey Summers, Jean Grey, Diana Prince, Barbara Ann Minerva, Donna Troy, Jennifer Walters, Gwen Stacy, Wanda Maximoff = PERFECTION!
Alan Davis introduced this little plot thread with Astra and I believe this was her first appearance. I usually like Nicieza but he basically took this for his X-Men Forever (not the Claremont series later) mini. The aim was similar to the Avengers Forever mini series prior. Kurt could have had a more important role in this but he didn't. It was basically explained away that Astra was spying on him in the circus for Magneto in one page and that was it. I don't know if that was supposed to be the end of it or there was meant to be something more later. Was Kurt being considered for the BrotherHood? I was getting tired by this point with all the plot threads with my favorite character being neglected or ignored or used for someone else. Oh, well such is comics and it is probably too late to even touch upon it. It was so long ago.
Astra perving on an underage Kurt? I kid, of course.
And there is another little plot thread left "Kurts morlocks" that was referenced in Claremonts Revolutions run. It supposedly took place during the sixth month gap when he became a priest. Or thought he did (whatever). It was sort of mentioned in the beginning of Casey's run I think but I would have liked to there have been something more to it.
What did Bobby do to Zelda Kutzberg?
Where is she Bobby? Where is she?
616 Sugarman doesn't exist. He is one of those rare multiverse anomalies that only existed in the AoA universe. TMWTS - that's the AoA version, not what Alan is asking about.
While there is still no official word on how Benjamin Russell came to be, he was explained to be the identical Earth version of Shatterstar (body wise) and they had a shared "soul", which allowed Shatterstar's memories and "soul" to be transferred into Benjamin's body by Longshot with no issues.
The reason why Sinister was interested in him in the 90's when he was introduced as he was STRONGLY hinted to be the child-by-rape of Catherine Summers and D'Ken Neramani. There was a number of points were it was brought up, but then subsequently dropped. Later Gabriel/Vulcan was revealed to be the 3rd brother. He is still a Neramani, and his mother is human, but they have walked away from it being Catherine at this point. Sinister is also no longer interested in him as he was before.
Yes this was touched upon after M-Day when Chamber lost his mutant powers and was on life support in a hospital. He was kidnapped by the Clan Akkaba and infused with Apocalypses blood. His body was restored fully and enhanced, making him look like a young Poccy with hair. Also his power levels were increased. All of those changes were undone after Age of X. As for Blink, nothing outside of the Dracula vs Apocalypse mini where her ancestor was revealed as a Clan Akkaba member has been discussed. Both could be interesting threads to pick up on for Sword of X where it looks like the OG Horsemen are back.
Ah, fair enough, thanks for correcting that. A lot of that mid-90s period I've only read once so I'd forgotten that detail!
Unless of course AOA Sugarman is still dead and that recent cameo in ASM actually was the 616 version making his first appearance (just kidding).
Hmm. The last we saw of Zelda was in X-Men: The Hidden Years after Bobby called Xavier out on his crap and quit the X-Men. Bobby showed up to crash on her couch. She hadn't heard from him in awhile and didn't know why, then found out he had essentially 'ghosted' her when he fell hard for Lorna. She was pissed.
Bobby has a lot of ex-girlfriends that would have made as much sense as including Zelda. Judy Harmon was his first love(he may have dated other girls before that but she was stated to be the first one he was in love with), Darkstar(They were stated to be lovers on-panel, but she ultimately loved him as a friend and wasn't really in love with him the way he was with her), Even Teresa 'Terri' Sue Bottoms, he was with her from shortly after the Champions broke up to right before he joined the Defenders...
Personally, I would have liked to have seen Firestar. They had a whirlwind romance in one of the Spider-Man books before it blew up and Aaron was showing she still had feelings for him in the X-Books during his run, which Kitty clearly didn't like. Marjorie Liu said in an interview she was limited on how many she could really include and do justice to in the space she had to work with. I think she would have liked to have used even more.
That's a great catch in Hidden Years. I read that some time ago and didn't even remember Zelda being there. That wraps it up nice enough.
Sadly, that throws my whole "Bobby secretly murdered his ex" theory under the bus and now I have to figure out some other ploy to get attention online.
What did O5 Cyclops lose to the Black Vortex when he returned its gift?
Is Poison (Wolverines's kid) still out there?
There was a Spider-Girl who could have potentially been Cyclops daughter? Or his DNA was used in her creation? Anything ever come of this?
Who was the Hooded Woman, and what, exactly, was her connection to X-23?
What happened to Bellona after SHIELD collapsed during Secret Empire?
There was an issue in the original volume of Excalibur where Mr. Sinister has Siena Blaze steal the DNA of Rachel Summers and after verifying her DNA via her parentage, it seems like he's going to do something. I don't remember if the it was resolved in that issue with him just taking it for stockpiling or if he was going to do something with it. Either way, with Krakoa it seems like if it's the former then it has been handled.
