No I don't think it was good. But I'll watch it again any day over Man Of Steel. I'm not anxious to see that travesty redone with multiple heroes.

Jemm or a Martian Manhunter movie.

Speaking of which, Lennix said he would be interested.

George Miller IS a better director than Snyder, no doubt! But I don’t think DC’s interested, and I’m not sure what he’d do with DC. You think the Snyderverse is dark? Then again, Happy Feet! So, who knows. But no argument, George Miller has made a couple of the greatest action movies of all time.

The difference between Miller and Snyder is Miller can do more than one tone.

And the appropriate tone for the material

I didn’t love the first two Avengers. I think Joe Johnston, Ryan Coogler, Taika Waititi, the Russos, Scott Derrickson and James Gunn all did Marvel better than Joss Whedon, and Sam Raimi, too. Serenity was pretty damn good, though.

Yeah, but Miller’s best tone is balls-to-the-wall, all-out, non-stop ACTION!!!

Now that I think about it, a Kirby Fourth World movie with Kirby’s tone as directed by George Miller would be AMAZING. It will never happen, but can you imagine George Miller doing Terrible Turpin! Or the Glory Boat! Holy crap. That would be something.

Man of Steel was solid! Why the dislike? I’d say it’s about #6 or #8 on my list of favorite DC movies, behind the first 2 Reeves Supermans, the first 2 Nolan Batmans, Wonder Woman, and maybe the 2 Burton Batmans. Snyder stuck the ending on Man of Steel, hard!

Or just stop making superhero movies for awhile. You don't have to keep doing something that isn't working just because you can't think of another idea.
I don’t have to like Snyder’s economic ideas to appreciate his Snyderverse.

As for DC not making superhero movies, lol, they aren’t slowing that train down, so they may as well get someone with a plan, like Zack.

Ayn Rand was not an economist, she was a philosopher. Her big thing was pushing selfishness and self-direction, i.e. the complete opposite of what DC heroes believe. A Randian hero is one who leaves the "moochers" to die. It is fundamentally incompatible with DC superheroes

And "a plan" is overrated when viewers don't want what that plan is producing. Individual films seems to be working for them much better than Zack's plan

Ditko's Question was Randian. But that is neither here or there.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

True, that being said it wasn’t so much the plan that was the problem the issue was how that plan was executed. With DC, the execution was widely seen as poor.

The answer to that is not one I wish to start over from the beginning on these boards. If you liked it, that's wonderful. If you thought it was well made...well, I'll keep you in my thoughts.
