Default What are some good, stand alone episodes?

I'm looking to do some casual, good viewing. An episode or two that doesn't require much prior knowledge, yet invokes the themes of the series.

Something ala Banshee's "The Truth About Unicorns."

    Any suggestions?

    Dr Who, Blink.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Most shows made in the 1980s or before. Almost everything was a standalone episode.
    Power with Girl is better.
