Think I'd swap out Von Gunther on my list with someone like Alkolyne or Angle Man since I think Cale's a better modern successor that doesn't have the baggage of being tied up with the Nazis.

Veronica Cale is one of my favorite Wonder-villains, but, one thing kept her off my 'ten ride-or-die' list: too much like a female Lex Luthor. I really would like to see her more distinguished from Luthor, even if it meant giving her a meta-situation, like giving her a faceless face (like her daughter had) or making her weird, in some other supernatural way. It would have been interesting to see her incorporate some of Baroness Von Gunther's (now, 'Warmaster's) more direct and physical means ..to threaten the leading lady.

Notice that Warmaster is listed, at the top of my selections. I also agree with you that Cale, with no changes, whatsoever, is the perfect modernization of the Baroness and belongs on a 'ten best, as-is' list.

As I recall, another thing I was trying to avoid was saving EVERY-body. How man times have we wound up with the same, rambling, yet beloved rogues' list, the mere contemplation of which compels us to start repairing and upgrading them? Truthfully, I believe the WW comic has some a-listers that are ready to stand on par, with everyone else's rogues, ..as is.

Maybe, the OP could have named this thread, "Do NOT Revamp a Wonder Woman Villain"...?

I don’t really need Cale need to be a physical threat since I think other villains have that, main motivation for dropping Von Gunther is that she’s kind of redundant after the other ones picked

Basically, Cale is just an armchair Baroness.
