Iron Giant is quite a minor fictional character. That said, Adventures of Superman #15's story from Marz and Shaner is decently close.

Yeah! That was great. But,i was talking about an actual crossover for couple of issues with the actual iron giant and cast. This one was too short. The giant felt too much like a person. I would have wanted superman to reveal his childish side more on meeting the giant. Not to say it was bad.Anyways, i do believe iron giant has had a cultural impact to warrent an actual meeting with man of steel in my mind.
The Iron Giant wasn't an original production. It was an adaptation of a novel by the late Ted Hughes. It's possible WB only owns film rights, and does not have currently have a license to use the character in other media.
