Hard to pick among other people's favorites too. I'll go with Speed Force League Unlimited's excellent choice of John Romita Sr.

    ed2962 for that cover.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

Okay, the voting period has ended, time for the tally.

Everybody is somebody's favorite, and these entries got 1 vote each...ChadH, Scott Taylor, icctrombone, Tami and Captain Europe and seismic-2. Great covers all.

Not quite the bees knees, but these entries got 2 votes each...ed2962, WestphillyPunisher. Great entries here.

Moving up the popularity ladder, these entries got 3 votes each...worstblogever, Rob Allen. Lovely stuff here.

Our runner up, getting 4 votes was the entry by SpeedForceLeagueUnlimited

and voted most popular by the class of CBR Cover Cronies, getting 6 entries, was the glorious Don Newton Phantom cover submitted by Greg Hatcher!

Great job Greg! Love that cover and it sits proudly among the comics I own.

I will never object to losing to Greg Hatcher. He is a savant at the cover contests. Probably thrown more votes his way than anyone else.

    Congrats, Greg!

Congrats to Greg for giving the late Don Newton his due.

And screw you all for not giving my Barry Smith any love.
