A bit weird to single Marvel out for decline when they're still the industry leader.

Don't want a reboot. That's what what if universes like mc2 and ultimate universe is for. DC comics history is a mess. Who are the founding members of the justlce league again? Wonder woman. Oh wait it's black canary. Oh wait wonder woman is back. Oh wait cyborg is even though he would not be born yet.

What do you mean that 12 year old batman issue is not canon anymore? What do you mean the full run of action comics takes place in 4 realities and are not canon with each other?

    What do you mean--Arrrgggghhhh!

Please no reboots. Just tell good stories.

Why would we criticize the other companies in a Marvel thread?

    Ehhh..

Maybe two events.. otherwise everyone gets dragged into stupid stuff like War of the Realms and other events that don't mesh well.

Save the soft reboot for an Ultimate imprint like it was intended for. When it's popularity waned, it was folded into Marvel 616.

Ultimate wasn't exactly a What If, except in the sense of, "What if these characters that we first created back in the 1960s had been created today [early 21st century] instead?" That said, I generally agree with you.

I think the issue was so many want to blame Marvel for the decline of the planet (while ONLY singling out POC, LGBTQ & women being more than background fodder at marvel) whne you have so many other companies.

Especially companies doing some of the same stuff as Marvel yet get free passes.

Now many folks are tired of events. However the MAIN culprit is not Marvel but stores who have no issue ordering everything under the sun for that one quick sale (mainly due to variants) and to justify ordering books that they normally don't care for.

Because SOMEONE is always there to buy it no matter how bad due to whoever is in it that a certain segment approves of.

If Emprye was about Namor wiping out Wakanda-the line starts to the right of folks buying. With some hoping Black Panther drowns with them.

Any event Marvel has should be left out of all books.

A 12 issue event should not derail anyone's book.

I'd like to see Marvel concentrate on their regular series. Although I buy many of their events, I think they end up hurting their main books in the long run. We may have more sales interruptions this year due to spikes in the virus. This makes the events run overly long. Shorter stories of 1-3 issues might make more sense.
