Historically, every question, no matter how iconic, got asked for a first time.
We don't know who was the first person who answered "will you marry me?" The first person to ask "Do you love me?" is lost to the mist of times.
This, however, is the very first time the question "What - me worry?" saw print.

"When fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross." - Sinclair Lewis
“It’s your party and you can cry if you want to.” - Captain Europe
Just in time, the glorious Justin Hayward and the Moodys' "Question"
Every day is a gift, not a given right.
WestPhillyPunisher, for asking a question that DC has failed to answer for a very long time now.
Honourable mention to CaptainEurope for a great Spirou cover.
«Speaking generally, it is because of the desire of the tragic poets for the marvellous that so varied and inconsistent an account of Medea has been given out» (Diodorus Siculus, The Library of History [4.56.1])
I vote WestPhillyPunisher!
My vote goes to seismic-2 for that classic question that's been asked in the comics, and at the end of the Justice League movie!
Avatar: Here's to the late, great Steve Dillon. Best. Punisher. Artist. EVER!
CaptCleghorn, that was my second choice to post.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!
CaptCleghorn for a covver that was the first comic to make me cry.
