If I had thought of it first, you still would have posted it before me. But a perfect cover.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:
Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.
Ajax_X of course.

Actually "kidnaped" is correct too, it's the American-English spelling....the more familiar "kidnapped" is the British-English spelling and has become more the widely used/seen way of spelling this word.
I first realized this back in, I think, the '90s; I remember seeing the Daily News or the Post with the headline "Kidnaped!" It looked so strange and wrong to me, so of course I then looked it up, sure it was a mistake (I'm in the US). I then read that it was the American way of spelling that word.

«Speaking generally, it is because of the desire of the tragic poets for the marvellous that so varied and inconsistent an account of Medea has been given out» (Diodorus Siculus, The Library of History [4.56.1])
Thank you for all the fantastic votes! It's one of my favorite covers. Love that Bart! I just wish Riddler looked a bit more recognizable in it.
New contest is up!

On the topic of what-might-have-been, I'm sort of kicking myself afterwards for not posting this great Pérez cover:
Thanks to seismic-2 and Nschornhorst for their votes!
