I am happy to hear this. Maybe that means Marvel will keep it around after things get back to normal.

Undiscovered Country? Ugh. That series is just a poor man's East of West.

    Wait, what?

Sorry, no. I can't think of anything in the series itself that elevates it for any sort of reward.

But then, we did have Cry for Justice, sigh...

Cantwell's attempt to interiorize Doom and mix a personal psychological story with international globe-trotting intrigue really taps into the creativity of comics storytelling. So it's a good choice.

Chac un a son gout. It has been getting good reviews from the usual online critic sources. And I can't say it much better than Revolutionary Jack just did. It takes some creativity on the writer's part to work with a character so steeped in comic book lore and make it fresh.

A well-derserved nomination. It was a thought-provoking (as well as a thoroughly enjoyable) read.

Single issue noms are kind of tricky. I'm not sure how this all works but doesn't the comic book company submit nominations (which as we are seeing can be more than just one in each category) and then it's up to the judges to pick the finalists.

The six judges are listed in this article

Cantwell announced this on his twitter feed this morning. A well deserved nomination, IMHO. I don't know the other contenders, but you were right at how well he made such a well known entity feel fresh and new.

You should definitely check it out. The only hang up is that issue #7 was due to come out on April 1st but was caught up in the chaos of the pandemic shut down. I know my LCS was having problems with deliveries. Even though they had a sign on the door saying that they are still open (they were allowed to do curb side transactions), Fed Ex left a note on their door saying "attempted delivery" and the shipment was sent back. Where those shipments are now is anyone's guess, probably in a warehouse somewhere.

I completely forgot this was a thing. It was something I was vaguely curious about, but I never had time to continue it.

Nobody seems to know right now. I have found no rhyme or reason in the release schedules lately but I think it was because the April 1st shipment (which was wehn issue #7 came out) was printed and sent out but no one seems to know what happened to it. I think I read DC ended up having to reprint comics from that time period when the pandemic shutdowns were ordered.
