Nobody can say the monopoly hasn't been broken now. End of an era.

Diamond distributed DC for 25 years. Who distributed DC before that time?

Does anyone recall, was it DC that signed an exclusive with Diamond first so very many years ago?
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

Before there was Diamond and Capital One distributors (Maybe others). Everyone went exclusive with Diamond which caused Capital One to close its business.

Except Marvel. They bought out Heroes World, only to go bankrupt a couple of years later and go in with Diamond. That's what finished Capital off.
