    Default Create a team of Marvel characters using the following criteria...

    So, that's the goal...create a team of Marvel characters with that meet the following criteria:

    * A Technology expert.
    * A Strategist
    * A Teleporter.
    * A Telepath.
    * A Telekinetic.
    * A Magic/Sorcery user.
    * A Energy based powered character.
    * A Hand-to-Hand combat/Marital Arts expert.
    * A Shapeshifter
    * A stealth powered character (i.e. invisibility, shrinking, super-speed, etc.)
    * A super strong character.
    * Someone who can manipulate probability.

    You can double up, so if you want, say, Dr Doom, to take several spots, feel free.

    Bonus points for a theme (i.e. they're all teens, they're all reformed villains or heroes turned traitors, they're all from different countries, etc. )

    Do Elementalist fall into any of these catergories? Cause some are manipulators while others are generators.

    If The Black Panther had stayed with them, I'd say The Illuminati gets it done. Maybe need to.think on it.

    So my idea is to create a team where each member is a member/representative of another existing team within the Marvel Universe. The purpose here being an information-share and coming together in times of truly global threats. Doesn't need a name, but if it did maybe call it the COALITION or something? And for the purposes of the group, teams that are obviously a bit more covert (Strikeforce, Agents of Wakanda, Daughters of Liberty), are more "unofficial" gatherings (the Runaways), or are being steered by sinister forces (Squadron Supreme of America) won't be included. Also, given the X-Men's current situation, their multiple teams will be represented collectively by one member.

    Ironheart (representing the Champions)
    * A Technology expert.

    Jimmy Woo (representing the Agents of Atlas)
    * A Strategist

    Nightcrawler (representing the X-Men)

    * A Teleporter.

    Collective Man (representing the People's Defense Force)

    * A Telepath.

    Invisible Woman (representing the Fantastic Four)
    * A Telekinetic.

    Talisman (representing Alpha Flight)
    * A Magic/Sorcery user.

    Sunpyre (representing Big Hero Six)
    * A Energy based powered character.

    Night Thrasher (representing the New Warriors)
    * A Hand-to-Hand combat/Marital Arts expert.

    Silver (representing Euroforce)
    * A Shapeshifter

    Spitfire (representing MI:13)
    * A stealth powered character (i.e. invisibility, shrinking, super-speed, etc.)

    Ursa Major (representing the Winter Guard)
    * A super strong character.

    Scarlet Witch (representing the Avengers)
    * Someone who can manipulate probability.

    Basically just an Avengers team. Jean may not be an Avenger but Bendis wanted to make her one back in the New Avengers days.

    Iron Man - Technology expert/strategist
    Doctor Strange - Teleporter/Magic user/strategist
    Jean Grey - Telepath/Telekinetic
    Scarlet Witch - Magic user/probability
    Captain Marvel - Energy based/super strong/strategist
    Spider-Woman - Hand-to-Hand combat
    Quicksilver - stealth powered
    Ms. Marvel - shapeshifter

    Captain America
    Domino
    Iron Man
    Nightcrawler
    Mystique
    Jean Grey
    Scarlet Witch

    I think that covers everything and would be a very unique team with some heavy hitters and and interesting dynamic.

    * A Technology expert. Adam Brashear (Ultimates)
    * A Strategist Nighthawk (Supreme Power Squadron Supreme)
    * A Teleporter. Pip the Troll w/ Space Gem (Infinity Watch)
    * A Telepath. Moondragon w/ Mind Gem (Infinity Watch)
    * A Telekinetic. Rachel Grey (Excalibur)
    * A Magic/Sorcery user. Adam Warlock (Guardians of the Galaxy)
    * A Energy based powered character. Monica Rambeau (Ultimates)
    * A Hand-to-Hand combat/Martial Arts expert. Drax the Destroyer (Guardians of the Galaxy)
    * A Shapeshifter Meggan (Excalibur)
    * A stealth powered character (i.e. invisibility, shrinking, super-speed, etc.) Astra (Imperial Guard)
    * A super strong character. Gladiator (Imperial Guard)
    * Someone who can manipulate probability. Arcanna (Supreme Power Squadron Supreme)

    Backstory: When Sise-Neg, the Dr. Strange foe, decided to travel back in time to amass all of the magical energy that existed in the universe, he created a massive shockwave that rippled across space/time. To avert total obliteration of the continuum, Eternity empowers a being known only as the Traveler to use his powers to save as many heroes as he could from various inflection points across the time stream. The above list represents the only beings that he could save. Their challenges will take the group up and down the time stream and back again, clashing in a final battle with the Anti-Infinites.

    This was a fun exercise. I decided to limit this to just two members from some of my favorite teams. The team names in parenthesis give you some idea as to when the characters were plucked. For example, Pip and Moondragon are retrieved at a point in time when they were members of the Infinity Watch. The version of Adam Warlock, however, is the future version of himself (by Pip and Moondragon's frame of reference), when he was not only a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, but also a magic user, and not the cosmic energy wielding Warlock that started the Infinity Watch. As shocked as Pip and Moondragon might be to talk to Adam, Drax, who is also a future version of someone that they know, would probably blow their minds completely. Except for his obsession with killing Thanos, Drax from GOG is drastically different.

    As for characters like Gladiator and Astra, it's a little tougher to pinpoint where in time they were pulled, especially since we know that the Imperial Guard often recycles member names and mantles upon death, MIA status, or retirement. I would definitely wager on this version of Gladiator being much younger than readers are accustomed. This version has never met the X-Men or Rachel Grey. Oddly enough, Kallark does vaguely recognize one of the other members of the team.

    I wanted a mix of characters who knew each other at least at one stage or another of their careers. But I also wanted to put characters together who likely will never meet in any Marvel book ever.

    Lastly, versatility matters. That you can switch some of these same characters to different powers/roles is a plus. Blue Marvel can be the tech geek (Reed Richards keeps insisting that he's as smart as Doom), but he can also be the energy person, or the super strong person. Arcanna can be the quantum level reality warper, but she can also be the mystic. Nighthawk can be the strategist, but he can also be the martial arts expert, as can Moondragon. Drax is the fighting expert, but I understand he also has limited telepathy. That holds true for Adam Warlock, too. Gladiator is strength, but some of his powers may also be psionic/telekinetic in nature. Monica Rambeau is the energy based option, but she's also a strategist, and what could be more stealthier than a person who can turn into any of the invisible energies of the spectrum while also moving at the speed of light? So on and so forth.
