Alan2099, maybe? Beyond that, this is a pretty interesting debate. Say what you will about either of those two, but "canon-wise," it's been shown over and over through the magic of time travel and alternate realities that the X-World and the larger Marvel Universe would be worse off without them both. Without Xavier forming the X-Men, there's nothing to inspire mutants to dream of achieving something better. Without Magneto, at least the Magneto who's relatively sane and self-aware, there's nobody without the intimate understanding of oppression coupled with the willingness to fight against it on all levels and by all means. While those means can be utterly brutal, gruesome, and even morally hideous, that should always be balanced with the acknowledgement that institutionalized bigotry can be every bit as bad for a society and its people as one bloody-minded, extremely powerful terrorist.
