I'm disappointed that DC has pulled the latest Kate/Manhunter mini series written by Marc Andreyko.
Hopefully it reappears on the publishing schedule some time in the near future. She is a character worth keeping!

I was completely infatuated with this book at the time (and still am)!
I have the #3 cover as a t-shirt (SO cool) and have issues 5 and 6 signed by Marc.
It always confused me as to why this book didn't take off. A great, multi faceted lead character (District Attorney, single mum), strong supporting characters, ties to two different DCU franchises (JSA and Manhunter lore), well written stories, beautiful artwork, amazing covers. It should have sold 30K a month.
Dr Psycho, Phobia, Director Bones, Chase, DEO, Kilg%re all made appearances. All made perfect sense story-wise. While I appreciate what we got, I would have LOVED to have seen where Marc took Kate & Co.

If HBO Max is looking for a Jessica Jones-like show it’s right here. Kate single mom, lawyer, brutal in a fight, plus the whole Manhunter mythology to explore. Could be a great show.

The Kate Spencer Manhunter series is one of my favorites. Really bummed the planned mini series was cancelled. Hopefully they re-solicit one of these days.

One of the best DC series in last 20 years.

I will have to re-read sometime, but from memory the first twenty issues or so were brilliant but at some point after that I think the series was under “sales pressure” and Marc for my taste did too many developments too quickly.

The “1 Year Later” event did the series no favours because key events such as Dylan and Cameron becoming an item just happened with no proper build-up..but yes I know most fans disagree with me on that point.

I re-read Kate's MANHUNTER series recently and really (really) enjoyed it. LOVE the characters and inclusion of Obsidian, Mark Shaw and Chase.
