    2006:

The third straight year where dc dominated the sales. Marvel may have had the highest selling single issue with Civil War, but throughout the year, DC pretty much dominated thanks to the all star cast of writers on 52, which saw 4 to 5 issues released each month, averaging sales in the six figures. The money DC was pulling in also meant more new titles, alongside a few cancellations in order to reboot some popular heroes. Rough year for me in comics personally, as they killed off two of my favourite DC characters (Vic Sage, Ted Kord) so IÂ’m slowly fading out.

    Top Selling Title:

Justice League of America: Granted it only came out in the final months of 2006, but the new Justice League of America series written by Brad Meltzer with art by Ed Benes was simply amazing. To me, it was the perfect Justice League team. The first issue sold over 212,000 copies.

    100, 000 plus range:

Infinite Crisis (Mini Series) – Geoff Johns, Jiminez, Perez, (carried on from last year), issue five selling over 205,000 copies
52 – (52 issues) – The all star cast of writers Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka, and Mark Waid , releasing 4 to 5 issues per month, with all them in the six figures range. A complete cash cow for DC.
All Star Batman & Robin – Frank Miller & Jim Lee
All Star Superman – Grant Morrison
Justice oops Alex Ross art, thought I'd recognize it

Justice Society of America (first issue December) Geoff Johns

Why are all those Âs in that post?

In response to your previous post, yes, Dandy folded in 2012, but it does still have summer specials and annuals, which are edited by the Beano team.

Great idea for a thread. In prior roles I did sales analysis and revenue forecasting, and I find the included commentary and context here illuminating.

It's probably something that happened when trying to bold and size. Unfortunately I can't just bold in microsoft word, and the CBR forum wasn't made for making stats...so it's difficult to say the least.

Thanks I try to keep my opinion out of it as much as I can so it's just unbiased stats, but also because I'm more of a happy go lucky comic fan, not a hard core collector, so at any point someone else wants to step in, and to do this their welcome to,
