Transformers Retrospective - Elita One
I really enjoyed both the minis today.
King Grimlock has been consistently well done. I'm mainly glad I didn't watch Madman's Paradise once I learned the series is based on it, because I would have spoiled myself on some things I forgot. One minor criticism is that Arko needed more space for her arc to this point; it felt like there was a step missing.
The Wreckers: Tread and Circuits was immense fun. I wasn't sure what to expect from this when it was announced, but I'm glad I got it and am very much looking forward to the second issue. The new takes on both the Wreckers and Mayhem Attack Squad were interesting. Octopunch is surprisingly good at speeches.
Jack Angel, Voice of G1 Ultra Magnus, Omega Supreme and More, has Passed Away https://www.seibertron.com/transform...ed-away/46410/
Really sad, he voiced a lot of my favourite Transformers
RIP - Jack Angel, your contributions will live on to entertain and delight for decades ahead.

Shattered Glass continues to pretty good. Thanks to Hasbro sending SG Goldbug figure out earlier, I also got issue #4 the same day.
Soundwave and his cassettes also showed up.

According to Bleedingcool, IDW is loosing the Hasbro license in 2022.
Hmm, I had hoped during their tenure they would churn out some nice re-mastered Deluxes of the original Marvel run. They started that with G.I. Joe.
I know issue #3 has Spider-man but hoped for a compromise. Knowing that was an issue I even thought if they could re-package any of the Dreamwave or Devil Due material into HCs that would be equally cool.

TRANSFORMERS: THE BASICS on ASTROTRAIN
https://bleedingcool.com/comics/imag...rs-and-gi-joe/
According to BC, Image comics, will be publishing GIJOE and Transformers soon.
If that is the case how does that work. I don't think of there being an Image comics bullpen of writers&artists, it is all creator owned at this point.
So Image publishes TF & Joe but they what....bid out the license to creators to see who is interested? Presumably a creative team might already be forming?
