Wasn't the Arch Deluxe just a slight variation on Burger King's Whopper?

Hmmm... I have no idea. Now that I think about it, maybe the Big & Tasty was supposed to be a slight variation of the Whopper? I'm not sure.

Campbell's Scotch Broth soup, (lamb and barley, very tasty). Those old TV dinners that were oven only and wrapped in foil. I'm told they were much better than what we've got. Which...wouldn't be hard IMO, but I'd love to try them. Salt Rising Bread, the best bread I've ever had, but no one makes it any more, and it's very hard to make on your own.
While I never would have suspected that I would miss it back in the day, you make a pretty solid point.

For what was squarely "Factory" food, Campbell's Scotch Broth was actually pretty darn solid.

While I don't think that there would be a whole lot of call for it, Kellogg's Apple Raisin Crisp.

It was junk, but it was pretty tasty junk.

Am I the only one who doesn't care about what junk food they serve at Fast Food chains?
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Butchers and bakeries. I mean the local kind. There are none of them here anymore. Bookstores. Seriously, here, you've got one chain, and a few indies.

Yes. Yes, you are! You need a double down! Or whatever they call that heart attack on a paper plate at KFC.

I indulged in hyperbole for sure, but I would never dare attempt to adjust an engine's timing on a car today.

Except for Popeye's, it has been 10 or so years since I've been to any fast food restaurant. When my beagle was around, it used to be our thing. We'd share the fries. She died in 2009, and I just haven't been able to since.

When it comes to burgers, I'm more likely to make them at home or go to a fast casual or higher place that can get away with selling burgers that are done medium.

I worked at McDonald's in the late 90's and this probably makes more sense, both burgers were approximate size and carried lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, kethup, mustard, mayonnaise.

I remember the Hungry Man fried chicken in the foil tray used to be better and now they are all bones and when it used to be tater tots instead of mashed potatoes. And when it was cranberry crumb instead of a choc. brownie. A family fave.
