MARVEL "Rampage Monthly Starring The Hulk: Issue 13 (July 1979)" comic misprint?

I have just obtained an issue of MARVEL's Rampage Monthly Starring The Hulk: Issue #13 (July 1979) and it has a misprint/error. However, I am not sure if this is a common misprint that all/most prints of this issue had, or if it is a rare/uncommon misprint that would make the comic more valuable.

The misprint/error is:
The front of the comic says the issue number is "No.13" which is correct, but on the inside it says "Volume 1, Number 18" which is obviously wrong. The date on the front (July) and the date on the inside (July 1979) are both correct.

Does any body have any knowledge of how many of this issue were printed with this misprint? Any knowledge is appreciated. Thanks!

I'm uncertain, but a lot of those old UK reprint magazines in the '70s had odd numbering because they would often relaunch Black/white magazines in full colour under the same name. I'd wager it's just an editing mistake, and would likely be present in every printed copy. Thirteen, and Eighteen look mighty similar in a lot of typefaces.

Since this in from Marvel's UK division, this is undoubtedly due to the fact that the British publication that features reprints of the original Marvel Comics. Reprint magazines were very common in the 1970s and 1980s when there were few, if any comic book shops with their back issue bins existed. Unsold issues, or part of them anyway were typically sent back to the distributor as I recall.

Issue #13 of Rampage features a reprint of X-Men #95 and a Hulk story from the Rampaging Hulk Magazine #11 and a Doctor Strange Story from that same Hulk Magazine. Without seeing the inside page, it probably refers to the information page from the original Marvel publication that the British magazine is reprinting.

That is indeed the cover of the comic (I had tried to upload a photo but the quality was poor), I am very thankful for you offering a reason why the comic would have this misprint. I do agree with you that if it's just an editing mistake then it is probably present in every printed copy.

That's interesting, I didn't actually know about the unsold issues being sent back to distributors rather than being sold as back issues.
