Marvel revises the method to redeem digital comics

Today when I picked up a couple of this weeks comics I saw that they have dispensed with the digital code that used to be covered with a sticker inside the comic. Now you have to email them with a copy of the cover. I have a scanner so I can do that and I imagine you can just send a photo from your cell phone.

I can see all kinds of mischief going on here. Thoughts?

They are either phasing out codes... or its due to complications with printing and this was a last resort. But, yes, apparently all you have to do is take a picture of each Marvel comic that came out this week at your LCS and fill out one request per book and they should absolutely not question you for being a true Marvel Zombie.

I was told in a DM from Marvel Support that this is for this week and next.

That was my thought too. Or maybe just go to Previewsworld and right click on a cover and send that. I don't see how they could stop anyone from snagging a free comic with this method

Ah! Now that is interesting. I did sometimes wonder how complicated it must be in the printing process to provide a unique code and then place a sticker over it. Maybe they have found a better method.
