Werewolf by Night #20 Aug 1974
"Eye of the Wolf" continued in part from Giant-Size Creatures #1
Jack and Ray have mutually assured each other that they won't kill the other to cure their lycanthropy,
though Jack points out that he can't control his wolf form like Ray can.

While they're talking in the park, they're not aware they're being watched by another werewolf,
one transformed outside the full moon with the help of a certain ring.

Later, while Jack and Clary are out at dinner, attorney Geraldo Kabal interrupts them to flirt with Clary,
offering her a ring out of esteem for her acting. Jack feels compelled to snatch it for himself.
During the conversation, Kabal reveals that he was at the studio to tend to the disposition of the trunk
that Jack and Ray found the tome in and that Baron Thunder had tried to buy it from him.
Figuring out the connection, Jack gets the Committee's address from Kabal and rushes off to rescue Lissa.

When he arrives at the house on Moonrise Hill, Jack discovers that the ring lets him
transform into his wolf form outside the full moon and maintain his human mind.

With this advantage, he's able to defeat Baron Thunder and rescue Lissa.

OMG! Trench-coat Johnny Blaze with Hellfire Shotgun before he was turned into a supernatural cyborg.

Man, I really miss this version of Johnny Blaze (especially the trench-coat & Hellfire Shotgun).

Werewolf by Night #21 Sep 1974
    "One Wolf's Cure, Another's Poison!"
Lieutenant Hackett goes to Geraldo Kabal for answers about the mysterious ring he was given from Joshua Kane's estate.
Kabal reveals that Kane's trunk and everything in it originally belonged
to Mad Monk Aelfric and only the copy of the Darkhold in it was missing.
Kane suggested Hackett get one of the two rings from the trunk because it suited his nature.
When Hackett learns that Jack took the other ring, he puts his on, transforms into a werewolf, kills Kabal, and runs off to find Jack.

It's the night of the full moon and both Jack and Ray have become werewolves when Hackett arrives to attack them.

The fight leads into a smelting plant, where Hackett is about to kill Jack until Ray knocks Hackett into a vat of molten steel.

Having killed another werewolf, Ray transforms back into a human, freed from his curse.
Even in his wolf form, Jack empathizes with Ray and leaves him,
though Ray wishes he were killed rather than to live with a murder on his conscience.

I could go on a long rant about how much of an impact it had on me, but I'll try to keep it short instead. If I had never picked up a Morbius comic, I would never have thought of comics as a medium capable of literary depth, adult entertainment (and I mean that in the sense of actual maturity and not treating children like they can't handle anything beyond saving the lolipop kingdom or that teens need constant T&A to keep reading). DCAU, The Dark Knight, Watchmen, any Marvel Movies, Earth's Mightiest cartoon...none of those would be as appreciated or loved if I hadn't picked up an issue of Morbius one day (and I've got to say it also helped me healthwise a bit too).

It gave me an appreciation for comics, a desire to study comics, started my interest to write comics, and to someday see the character finally treated with some literary respect someday (like I'd ever be popular enough for that to be considered seriously).
Thanks for sharing what impact Marvel's supernatural had on you
