Uh what? I’m guessing this is based on Supes losing the fight in WW Dead Earth? Nah I don’t consider that an insult, Diana comes off worse than he does, she’s the one who destroys the planet by pummeling him from place to place. That last bit at the end is super messed up though.

It may be too stupid for anyone to take seriously. Not her defeating him in a fight, but killing him and then using his skull as a flail or whatever.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, he's endured worse. This doesn't paint a flattering picture of the WW mythos itself.

The skull flail came off as more as an insult than him losing.

Though I'd say the Amazons have probably gotten it the worst in the series in terms of general depictions.

The only thing I've read of Dead Earth was the scene where she used turned his skull into flail which I thought looked kind of cool.

Meh I can find instances where the Superman writers did Wonder Woman dirty, like him snapping her neck with the lasso of truth in that World Finest story line. It goes both ways. Part of Diana's makeup as a character is that she is his physical equal.

I'm really only bothered by obvious cases of jobbing like the Batman nonsense.

If anything I think it's intriguing that all these years after Superman got the most signifcant power level cut of any cape character with the Byrne reboot yet still maintained in position of being the measuring stick. Really puts into perspective what a beast he was during the Pre-Crisis Years.

Honestly, the only character being disrespected in this comic is Wonder Woman.

Its more an insult to Wonder Woman, she's the one who brutally murdered a friend. The fact that he couldn't even fight back was dumb but that's what happens when a writer overcompensates.

Haven't read this, doesn't sound like I or anyone should. Why did she murder him and make his skull a flail? Was he evil? Is she? The hell?

She's mad he saved Kansas over Themyscira during nuclear armageddon. So she beats him up around the world ironically destroying the world more than the nukes, then stabs him to death with Kryptonite at the Fortress. She blocked out the memory so in present day didn't remember that he was just a coprse when she traveled to the Fortress to find him. She then decides to use his skull and spine as a flail because...it honors him? That's what's on the page, damned if it makes any sense but that's the long and short of it.

So she killed him because he could only save one place and chose his home and family? Fudge that's awful...

Yup. And the rest of the world would have survived too but her temper tantrum is what actually destroyed the world.

Yeah but it wasn't her family.

    Nobody came off well there.

Using his cape or shield would have been respectful, his spine and skull however is just mutilation and horrible. I was hoping for something better for this series since it was a good read up until that point.

Yeah, I thought the first two issues were pretty good but it kind of went off the rails here.
