    This was the issue I used to own! It’s amazing that after all these years I never realized the similarities to Bane lol.

    If he's remembered at all, it's as a decent but generic, villain during a meh era of the book.

    this is why I hate him. I also don't accept him as a "sympathetic" villain.
    spidey gets jobbed every time instead of just challenged. Unacceptable to me. and to the degree that Shang Chi's martial arts training has been forgotten at this point by writers, I'm not hopeful for the future.
