Justice League Asia pretty much already exists in the form of the Justice League of China, comprising counterparts of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman from China, Flash from the US, and Aquaman from North Korea. Their Green Lantern knock-offs were villains.

Japan is not represented, and neither is Russia.

Yes, but as some examples seems to imply, the fact that outside of the United States of America (which represents only half of the countries of North America by the way) there seems to exists a strange idea that Europeans/Asians/Africans/South Americans are more or less the same. Which I don't really like.

Here in Europe, it's already quite hard to feel kinship with some neighboring countries (in my case, I'm culturally a lot closer to Spain, Portugal and Italy than Germany, the Netherlands or England, for instance) so I don't think multi-country "Leagues" would work too well.

That culture thing is a valid point. Just look at the languages. French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, they're all romance languages, based on Latin. Whereas German, Dutch, and English are Germanic languages. If they have similar languages, they probably also have similar cultures. All goes back to hundreds of years ago, depending on which empire controlled which parts of the world.

In Asia, it's even more diverse. Arabic, Korean, and Japanese are completely different from each other. Mandarin Chinese does have some similarity to Japanese, except it only uses Kanji and not Katakana and Hiragana. Most of the European languages (except for Russian and Greek) at least use the same alphabet.

Basically, a language barrier could be a major problem.

Eh. International superhero teams featuring members who are representative of conflicting countries have been a staple of comics for decades.

Also, it's not out of the ordinary in the DC Universe to set up some sort of telepathic link in which everyone understands each other regardless of dialect.

Thanks. I wish I could have come up with a few more members for the South America and Australia teams. Ah well, maybe as time goes by....
