Storm LEADING a team to save herself is SO Storm.
Scott: "Yeah, so we're assembling a team to--"
Storm: "I'M assembling a team. And I'm leading."
Scott: "But Ororo, you're --"
Storm: "Standing. And will continue to stand. Now if you'll excuse me..." <flies away>
Logan: "Heh"
Scott: .....
Logan: <smirk>
Scott: ...Cover that up Logan.
Logan: <places hands over his groin>
I hope its Remy and Betsy.
Really enjoyed this. Dauterman is one of Marvel's best artists at the moment. He really endeared himself to me with his amazing work on the Cyclops mini-series. That was such a fun book. And it helped set the stage for what he would accomplish with Jason Aaron during his Thor run. The more X-Books he can draw, the better. His design for Jean's costume in the Giant Size issue was just perfect.

Loves Claremont and Smith's X-Men era and he's visually enthralling...be still my heart, I think I'm in love with Russell Dauterman.
Lord Ewing *Praise His name! Uplift Him in song!* Your divine works will be remembered and glorified in worship for all eternity. Amen!
Hickman wrote the beginning and end and had very little to do with the issue. As we all thought
I am so excited for Giant Size Storm. As much as I hope Jean appears I know some fans that would be extremely excited if Betsy is in the book. I hope she is included. Characters like Storm and Jean are connected to so many other characters - they have deep friendships with multiple members. Storm is close to so many X-men and I can't wait to see her leading a team. I hope they pick some great characters to feature (though I hope the team is small).
I love that Dauterman is a fan. I loved his views on New X-men, Jean, and Storm. I would love to see him on a regular X-men book (other than just doing covers).
I know it has become divisive but I am glad he agrees with many of us about the Marvel Girl dress. I wonder if Chris H was annoyed by that because he has been known to make fun of fans on twitter who have issues with the MG look (and he wasn't the only one - Xavier Files, Zack Thompson and a whole host of folks on twitter would make fun of fans who criticized the Marvel Girl look but I did notice a lot of women and gay men were sounding the alarms on why the retro look on Jean was problematic early on... just saying).

The character he added might be Elizabeth

Great X-Men Monday.
I love Dauterman's art, and love that he loves Jean and New X-Men.
I also love that he doesn't quite love the skirt mini...
That's a lot of love anyway.
Dauterman is amazing, and I'm glad that he alleviated my concerns about Giant Size Storm. I was worried that Ororo would be stuck in a coma for half of the issue while other x-men attempt to save her, but knowing that she will be leading the team makes me much more hyped.
