    Default MCU Joke Count

I found this website with a lot of different charts of joke count/frequency in each MCU movie, and it's very interesting/illuminating:

    https://www.visu.info/marvel-cinemat...rse-joke-count

I tend to like jokes in movies when they are appropriate for the character, and I tend to dislike movies in which the writers tend to dole out jokes to everyone indifferently just for the sake of forcing laughs. As someone who has avoided some of the MCU movies for this reason, I found this data really useful... and it helped me pick out a movie that had a good balance of humor and serious moments.

You can also see that the joke frequency and count seems to increase with the newer movies (in general - there are movies like Black Panther that are deliberately more serious).

I also like that you can see where in time the jokes occur in a movie.

I'm a bit weirdly surprised at the Spider-Man: Homecoming results.

I can't imagine how much time that took to make! Wow.

I thought for sure Rangnarok was going to win this one. That movie fell into satire as far as I’m concerned.

never forget the civil war scene where one scene you see a corpse in a tub and then the next arm and bird dude are joking around.

Interestingly enough, this link "inspired" me to watch Civil War as the data indicates that it is far less "jokey" than half of the movies. Was not able to finish the movie for other reasons, but I was happy to find that it didn't pummel me to death with quips.
