BWL started as a novel concept and has now been overexposed to the point of absurdity. The character is thinner than the paper he's printed on, and the appeal for him seems to be more of the same "dark and gritty" superficial nonsense that people admonish the 90's for.

So will he get used more in other media? Probably, though I don't think we'll see a live action take any time soon. He seems to move merch from what I can tell.

I like the Joker but.. This Idiot BWL was so annoying and UNFORTUNATELY he died and left us one UNKNOWN SUCESSOR.

The fact that so many people hate him means he's a good villain although

.. I can´t see him as one good villain. I enjoyed LEX GROUP in Forever Evil and some comics with villains like DEATHSTROKE but this BWL... I would like start 2021 without anything related with him or that Perpetua.

What would the story be? if it's his origin he won't appear until the third act and even though the main story will be interesting to general audience psychologically as The Fall of Batman, once Batman Who Laughs appear it will be just a slaughter fest.

Batman who laughs is kinda lame to me because he's essentially Joker's Batman cosplay. If he acted more like an unhinged Bruce Wayne that could be really exciting, but from what I've seen that's not the vibe I get from him.
